Re the pic above,
Who said poly doesn't yellow!
I had the bridge pickup hole filled and the centre section painted by a fellow who does the rounds of the used car yards touching up minor dents and scratches.
His eye for colour matching is impeccable
When i got this back from him about a year ago the colour match was perfect.
As you can see if you look closely the poly has somewhat yellowed by comparison to what is obviously one of the new very UV stable automotive paints .

I like it! Didn't really notice it until you mentioned it. I'd rock it.

"Vocal Chameleon". And that's the thing. Lotsa people can 'sing' but not all that many can sell the song. Being able to make adjustments to one's voice to fit the material makes a big difference in how well it goes over.
I don't consider myself to be a great-or even all that good-singer, but I can carry a tune, change my voice appropriately, and pull it off(assuming it's in "my" key-I ain't no tenor). To the best of my knowledge, no one's ever 'ralphed' because of my singing.

Poly is not indestructible. I am revamping my J shaped object, which has a guitarfetish ultralight body with their white “dano” sparkle urethane finish. When I took off the pickguard, I was surprised at how much the finish had yellowed.
And then there’s my Jazz Bass Special.

I bought School Days when I got interested in bass and it almost convinced me that I was not cut out to play bass. It's no less humiliating today. Love the album though and still love hearing it. You've likely seen it but this is cool. Three times the humiliation....

Two for me and three when needed, like on White Rabbit. One feels odd to me. Still working on the pick technique.

I mostly use two fingers, but sometimes I find myself reverting to one. There are times when I’ll use three for a fast triplet.
It’s good to have pick playing in your toolbox. If I need to brush up, I’ll sometimes play along with Rocket to Russia.

Perfect example of "Just because you can doesn't mean you should." (Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial.)

I was fine until the singing. I don't mind HS orchestras doing modern or rock at times. Sometimes it turns out pretty cool depending on the arrangement. When I was in the family room was taking a break I watched a little bit of Ozzie and Jack's big adventure, or whatever it's called. There was a band from Louisville that did one of Ozzie's Crazy Train and it was really cool. I gather he visited because he donated to them.

as flashy as he can be, I’ve never heard him lay down solid, incessant 16ths a la Rocco (which is way more challenging imho), don’t get me wrong, huge fan of Stanley but just sayin’….
