I've seen this before. Actually kinda cool. There was a band that played at EPCOT(WDW)for many years by the name of "OFF KILTER". They had the standard instrumentation of guitar, bass, keys, drums, and, of course, bagpipes. They were terrific. People loved their shows. So, naturally, the Mouse let them go. They still exist in the Orlando area and do shows, concerts, etc. They're doin' alright.

I know what you're saying and somewhat agree. But really being out of his comfort zone would be doing it with the music of Ozzy not a Frank Sinatra band sound! Don't want to hear that either though!

Yup... jazz is not my thing (although I love listening occasionnally, mostly the big band stuff) and those covers are definitely not doing it for me.

Interesting to see different takes on tunes-for a few minutes.
I'm a big Chicago fan. One day, while grocery shopping, I'm vaguely aware of the canned instrumental background music that's playing and as the tune is more than halfway through I realize it's one of Chicago's bigger hits done by a string orchestra.

That brings to mind that the last big band I worked with had a 'boy singer' that did the Sinatra type stuff very well and was also in a metal band.

One finger is my default, and sometimes I have to force myself to use two. One finger is kind of like down stroking with a pick.

Two for me and three when needed, like on White Rabbit. One feels odd to me. Still working on the pick technique.

Maybe someone will know, but wasn't the singer of one of the 90s metal bands an opera singer and had some kind a job in place and went for rock instead full time? It was a big name band like Guns N Roses as I recall.

Not sure who you're referring to, but Pat Benatar was an opera major in college and was told she had no chance of ever 'making' it. Riiight.

I bought School Days when I got interested in bass and it almost convinced me that I was not cut out to play bass. It's no less humiliating today. Love the album though and still love hearing it. You've likely seen it but this is cool. Three times the humiliation....
