AT&T sent me a new(free)flip phone. Hopefully it'll take better pix. Haven't activated it yet, I actually have a sorta busy week-dentist, eye doc, then prep for a colonoscopy next Tuesday. AT&T store maybe next Thursday-and new THUNDERBIRD pic(?).

Colonoscopy prep is the worst. You truly have my sympathy.

Then you'll have to start a YouTube channel with technology rants.

I would watch that!

They usually give away decent Samsung phones that are one or two generations past the latest and greatest. Any smartphone will be a major upgrade so go for the freebie.

Who ever is the "tech support" will not appreciate it. I get enough calls from my mum with complaints like "my microsoft isn't working" The phone is 10x worse.

Maybe the "tech support" has an associated channel telling the other side of the story...

My daughter has one of the latest pocket computer/iPhone doo-dads. I can't see paying a lot more for [stuff] I'll never use. For examples, I do TB on my desktop, I won't be trying to read [stuff] on that little screen; I have a coupla GPS's, don't need one in my pocket; don't care about surfing the interweb-except at home. Bottom line, don't wanna pay for data that I won't be using. Remember, I just missed having a dinosaur for a pet.

They make great pets...

I have done work on semi acoustics. It’s not really that difficult, but you do need to be patient. I wouldn’t mess with it unless there’s an issue.

That is why there are techs... So that I don't have to do things like this...

For most anything else, I'd have no real problem with the way the pics turn out (mostly). It's just, I can't seem to get what this one actually looks like. I would try my "real" camera, but it's an antique (almost 20 years old! ), and is not as good as the one in my phone

So we can't blame the French! That funny and true, at least on the front end. Then there's that whole "word game" thing happening on the interpretive/reader side where the reader can do the same and assign meaning as they see fit (Lyotard, Foucault). Barthes thought it a waste of time to try to find meaning in words of an author, but had the nerve to write books contradicting his own thinking (a little special pleading going on here maybe!).
