Mine's not quite that antique, I don't think I still have any film cameras left.....

Decided to find batteries, to see if it still worked....and it did :jawdrop:

I even found an old USB mini? cable for it to hook to the PC, and most surprising of all - Linux had no problem at all working with it :jawdrop::wideyed:

So, I took a pic......

Maybe this is finally the year it'll take over the desktop. ;-)

I think one of their biggest problems is still application installs. Most people are used to just using a .exe file, everything's included, and it works. Or just click a link & click OK. No need for picking dependencies, which packages to install, which installer to use, etc. I was a computer major (....a while back.... ), so not too much of an issue, but Billy Bob & Linda Lou aren't likely to go to the effort, just to not use Windows.

But, I'm liking it a lot better than I did a decade+ ago....

I spent the afternoon with Silversun Pickups as the soundtrack. Occasionally I'd watch a video for a quick break from work. Turns out Nikki can dance and act as well as play, write, sing, etc. (I'd never seen the official Circadian Rhythms vid.) I listened to an interview. I think this would be a fun band to hang with.

Kara, I don't know if you've looked at any of their footage, but at least in recent years, she plays a red THUNDERBIRD a well as a burst. She gets great tones from her (SS) SVT...

Brian just plays Epis and Gibbies, with a 90s Sheraton and a 65 (IIRC) NR Firebird as his main axes. He's also got a sweet Midtown, among a few others.

It should really go without saying but......I love that way that looks!:thumbsup:

Thanks! She is still my favorite bass.

That's not a metalflake?

It doesn't have those big flakes I expect in a metal flake finish, but I am not an expert in those matters. Is a metallic finish the same as metal flake? I apologize in advance for the stupid questions.

A good way to spend the day. I have them (and my daughter) to thank for getting me interested in playing again. My daughter and I were in the car and she was playing a mix that had Substitution on it. I knew who they were from Lazy Eye and Panic Switch and went down a rabbit hole that night. I'm glad I did. They and Nikki really got me wanting to play again.

I'm sure it's fine. It'll never take over the desktop.
