It's the "I see you" like, not the "I like that" like.

Lol, I get amps in for repair where the owner puts a piece of masking tape over the knobs to keep the settings…
happens often believe it or not…
how am I supposed to test it? haven’t you heard of photography?![]()
LOL - all electric, 8 feet long, less than 30mph top speed, range of 40 miles max. Basically a golf cart with no room for clubs.

So someone watched Cars 2 and thought it was a good movie,
Looks like they changed just enuff details to not get(successfully)sued. So someone watched Cars 2 and thought it was a good movie,
Which it wasn't because Mater did not have enough information at the end to solve the mystery!
and thought, yeah, the evil car, we should make one of those for real.

And all the suits and bean-counters went along with it...

During the whole C19 thing I've not practiced social distancing. I simply continued my anti-social distancing.I'll take exile to an island for antisocials...
I'm not antisocial, I'm a misanthrope. I hate people; although there are some individuals of whom I am quite fond.During the whole C19 thing I've not practiced social distancing. I simply continued my anti-social distancing.

Not uncommon I've seen this many times and have had several with this mod. Often it's just the treble side moved. I'm willing to bet that the E and A string don't intonate as the saddles look to maxed out against the bridge.I guess they took the poor intonation options into their own hands?
A attempt to correct intonation issues, pretty common mod, I've seen it many times.I went back and looked at all the pix. Gotta wonder why there are 2 'plugs' behind the bridge. Moved forward? Holes from a 3 point? Hmm. And 2 MT holes from a missing bridge cover(needs that).

Yeah seen this mod many times, often just the treble side. I'm guessing that on the bass in question the G and D string intonate fine but the E and A string are now off.I guess it depends on how far off the bridge studs were installed in the first place. @godofthunder59 has probably seen a number of 60's Tbirds with intonation issues. His Badbird bridges don't look like they add 1/2" of saddle travel toward the neck. My guess is someone has moved the studs too far![]()
I was surprised they didn't have me listed at # 114,653.....
I know these lists are subjective, but leaving out Pete Way, who was famous for playing TBirds, but including some players who maybe briefly played one occasionally?
Or held one for the camera.Yeah, it was more like their "10 Coolest Bass Players Who At Some Point Played Thunderbirds".
It’s a Gibson puff piece. I’m pretty much a fan of all of them on there. But Simmons? Really? Letterman’s lists proved just how stupid it is to try to rank anything. FWIW, Martin Turner is #1. Nikki Monninger is #1 in my heart.

That was in a very complex art rock band I was in at the time. Within a year or so, the bass started dropping down a whole bunch

I honestly don't think that's their intent with basses - seriously. I'm certain that if they wanted to they could have aped a 7ender design long ago, instead for those of us that appreciated walking an alternate path Gibson has made over 80 different basses over the decades, something I'm very glad they did. Obviously the money is in guitars for Gibson, I do wish they'd be a bit more creative about what they do for us bass players, but the new NR is a start and I like it.
Perhaps we could convince them to transplant all of the new hardware and colors back to the Reverse, I do think that would sell quite well.
