Lol, I get amps in for repair where the owner puts a piece of masking tape over the knobs to keep the settings…

I have a photo of my pedalboard on my phone. Travel, kids, uncoordinated foot movements, all sorts of things can happen.
LOL - all electric, 8 feet long, less than 30mph top speed, range of 40 miles max. Basically a golf cart with no room for clubs.
The ad in the link was a riot, one of the pics shows a couple in the car together - she’s driving and has a demonic grin and a “I know something you don’t know” look in her eyes, while he’s in the passenger seat looking like a dog contemplating how to get out of the car before they arrive at the neutering facility.
I’ll trade you two of these for your AMX, you can use one for each foot, kinda like fancy rollerblades.

and thought, yeah, the evil car, we should make one of those for real.
And all the suits and bean-counters went along with it...

During the whole C19 thing I've not practiced social distancing. I simply continued my anti-social distancing.
I'm not antisocial, I'm a misanthrope. I hate people; although there are some individuals of whom I am quite fond.

Not uncommon I've seen this many times and have had several with this mod. Often it's just the treble side moved. I'm willing to bet that the E and A string don't intonate as the saddles look to maxed out against the bridge.

A attempt to correct intonation issues, pretty common mod, I've seen it many times.I went back and looked at all the pix. Gotta wonder why there are 2 'plugs' behind the bridge. Moved forward? Holes from a 3 point? Hmm. And 2 MT holes from a missing bridge cover(needs that).

Yeah seen this mod many times, often just the treble side. I'm guessing that on the bass in question the G and D string intonate fine but the E and A string are now off.I guess it depends on how far off the bridge studs were installed in the first place. @godofthunder59 has probably seen a number of 60's Tbirds with intonation issues. His Badbird bridges don't look like they add 1/2" of saddle travel toward the neck. My guess is someone has moved the studs too far
Yeah, it was more like their "10 Coolest Bass Players Who At Some Point Played Thunderbirds".
Or held one for the camera.

"Coolest" is always subjective. I have to put Leon Wilkeson at #1. Then Nikki at #2.

That was in a very complex art rock band I was in at the time. Within a year or so, the bass started dropping down a whole bunch

I saw Timbuk3 live in Austin; that was the first time I can recall seeing someone play bass almost at neck level. I tried playing my guitar up there and about 3 seconds in, knew it was a hard "Nope!"
I'm not in any way suggesting they should ape Fender. I'm saying they haven't (at least in recent memory) put serious marketing power behind their basses. They never really did with their amps, either; they had some KILLER guitar amps, but who knew?
I'd love to have some creative input into a well-funded, well-thought-out marketing campaign. Don't just market the bass, per se; take on the rabid stereotypes! Have a bass shoot the headstock at a heckler (or obnoxious guitar player), then pull it back in via the strings. Do a series of "one trick pony" ads, highlighting all sorts of styles of music. Use endorsers heavily (e.g., use footage from the Silversun Pickups video for "Kissing Families").
