Thunderbird Club

That is a great pic! I love the sparkle. Classy, not overdone. That's how my blue Epi is. One thing about digital photography, it isn't just the number of pixels. There's a lot more to it. Those are good cameras with good glass from Sony's purchase of Minolta.

That's true about the lens, etc. The phone can only do so much on that.
The one I took with the Sony was with no flash, no low-light options, just point-focus-shoot. Shows the true color quite a lot better, if a bit dark.

Just listened to Wipe the Windows, Check the Oil, Dollar Gas this morning. (Post Duane I know, but still great)
You had a good morning then. While huge holes with Duane and Barry gone, they still put out some phenomenal music. I've always thought Dickie never got his dues. How many people could step in and take over leads by Duane--and play them as if he played them originally, then his playing is absolutely top shelf. His playing was so melodic. Then his song writing. He was not second fiddle to Duane in my book at all.

Try 25 over the limit here on the 5 between L.A. and Stockton and north of Sacto.
It's noticeable here that in town (Louisville) police are not pulling people over as before, reduced police dept for one thing and no doubt not wanting a low-level hassle to turn into national news. As a result the Watterson (264) that circles the (more inner) city people drive 70+, and I mean every body. The limit is 55. Hopefully no Thunderbirds will be injured.

Between Dickie and Greg they managed to cover a lot. Amazing really!

I think one of their biggest problems is still application installs. Most people are used to just using a .exe file, everything's included, and it works. Or just click a link & click OK. No need for picking dependencies, which packages to install, which installer to use, etc. I was a computer major (....a while back.... ), so not too much of an issue, but Billy Bob & Linda Lou aren't likely to go to the effort, just to not use Windows.

But, I'm liking it a lot better than I did a decade+ ago....
As Billy Bob, I hope the computer works. If it doesn't, I am kinda screwed and call somebody like you who actually thinks of them as something besides a hammer crossed with a typewriter.

Decided to put an order in for one of these back in January. Just came in today. I've never purchased a bass brand new before and so far I am quite happy with it! New stage bass for my shoegaze band:

I had a cheap ES-335 clone that needed a bunch of work. I had no books, and it was pre-internet, so I figured out how to fish the wiring harness out and reinstall it on my own. It was a pretty suboptimal process, but I git it done. Bit of a pain. Having a typewriter repair tool with a hook on the end and some quality stainless forceps helped.
A three foot section of surgical tubing per pot makes this job a snap.

Decided to find batteries, to see if it still worked....and it did :jawdrop:

I even found an old USB mini? cable for it to hook to the PC, and most surprising of all - Linux had no problem at all working with it :jawdrop::wideyed:

So, I took a pic......

Oh great, the gorgeous photos of that bass now look drop dead gorgeous! Thanks, my GAS really needed that (not).

Very cool!

@KaraQ I have not been able to get a good pic of how nice the Epi CAR Bird looks. I have tried, but it hasn't worked out yet. They did a great job on these limited edition finishes.

Not you too! You and Kara are killin me.

Oh for God's sake. Those things would be squashed like a bug around here with all the pickup drivers who consistently travel at 20 MPH over the speed limit.
20 MPH over the speed limit pretty much describes parking lots around here. The fast lane speed on the 101 between Ventura and Santa Barbara is closer to 95 MPH as long as there’s no radar in sight.

Try 25 over the limit here on the 5 between L.A. and Stockton and north of Sacto.
I believe it. There’s been many times I’ve been doing 20 over and had people pass me like I was standing still. About the only time you get within 10 miles per hour of the speed limit here is when you’re behind a Prius driver.

Hey, wait a minute!
Those aren’t supposed to be out yet! Looks beautiful, I’m sure it sounds fantastic as well.

Worst offenders around here are surprisingly not young dudes in hot rods or trucks (though we have plenty of them) but young ladies in really small cars, and on their phones. If Danica Patrick only had a Corolla or Kia she would have won a race if not a NASCAR championship. I know that sounds sexist, but it's simply an observation even my wife notices and complains about, and so far as I know she's not anti women.
It goes in waves. BMW drivers are always trying to kill me. For a while, it was preppy, excessively clean cut blonde drivers in black Jettas. Gender didn't matter. Then it was young girls with pony tails in red hatchbacks. For the time being, it is middle aged Audi SUV drivers. And BMW drivers. They are always a problem. Usually male. Always bozos.
