I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm a sucker for Chrome covers on a third. Would love to hear your thoughts on the following (no basses were hurt for this photo shoot)

The neck pickup is closer to the fretboard and although it looks a little different than a 60s NR bird I think it still looks quite sharp!

I like it. Hides that they didn’t give us a vintage bridge.

Well, as long as it goes to someone here. Wish I could buy it; but I’m getting a Gibby NR. Recall the laments of V and others here who let Thunderbirds go. General rule: Never sell a Thunderbird.

Well, I’ve only sold one Thunderbird (‘14 Gibson reverse) and I deeply regret it in many ways. Such a great bass, but so far nothing quite beats my ‘02 Gibson reverse, so I’ll get by somehow
The Greco is fantastic, but it sounds very similar to my Fano JM4. I’m not a collector, so I want every bass I own to bring something slightly different to the party

Yep. I put dibs on one with my Sweewater rep when they were first announced. Received an order # as soon as they hit their system. PB of course. I'm set in my ways.

I'm curious when you get it how you feel about the color compared to the 2013. The new ones are faded.

Sorry to be a pest, but could you post some more pics, particularly the back of the neck and headstock area. Curious if the volute is the same as on the '13s. I assume it is, but wondering all the same.

Sure. Why not? This one will be a different shade than my '13 and my PB Epi. Plus it'll have chrome and I'm keeping the '13 hardware black.

I'm curious when you get it how you feel about the color compared to the 2013. The new ones are faded.

I'm going to love it. I'm thinking it'll essentially be similar to the color of the blue seats at Dodger Stadium which was returned to the sixties color palate some seasons back.
