I saw that. Might as well have just said two pickups..... Hard to imagine they couldn't had someone in marketing write something with that would even very slightly stir interest. Had they said has two magnets it wouldn't have been less helpful. I imaging Les Paul's have a paragraph on each pickup. Slight overstatement, but not by much.

See? See? Their bass marketing is a joke.

You haven't even heard the PUPs. You have no idea what the neck will feel like until you spend some time with one. A babicz chrome bridge will look great on it. If you don't like that idea , an ashtray over the bridge will make it look vintage. Take a deep breath, it will be fine.
Agreed. They may sound fantastic. Might be the famed ProBuckers, who knows!

Yeah, it's sounding more and more like the pickups are basically TB+ in a chrome or nickel cover. Suits me just fine, other than that they're backwards.
Not that you have to answer--just jumping off your post. Am I the only that recalls they were doing some kind of vintage-sounding PU in these? I get things wrong, but this would be entirely make believe like true love at Woodstock. I don't know if it was a post here or something from Gibson when they were first talking about doing them.

I'm kind of assuming since they're ceramic.

Scott heard they would have a vintage wind and Alnico magnets. He tried one and it didn’t sound like Alnico pickups to him. Now they say they’re ceramic. I’m not worried at all about finding a tone I love.

I liked the ceramic PU in my older MM SR 5er better than the Alnico in the regular StingRay. Ceramic wouldn't turn me off, just depends what they sound like. I've had plenty of basses with Alnico that have been long sold because they didn't sound good.

Go, Mike! I'm down to 165 (max of 265 until I nearly died of diabetes, down to 190, plateaued at 215 until Covid hit), my weight when I got married. Never hoped to see it again, but I've maintained for months now.

Having Death close enough you feel his breath will do that.
How are y’all doing this? I’m a big ole boy and it’s not doing me any favors in the health department. I’ve been labeled the dreaded “pre-diabetic” term by my doctor.

I was told Alnico months ago seems Gibson doesn't know the difference. When I tested the bass they certainly didn't sound like Alnico V, now I know why.

Sounds to me like sales people spouting off whatever buzzwords they know without bothering to check with the tech folks.
And marketing just puts content on the website: “don’t worry about it, we have that disclaimer about changing specs”

Portion control, balanced diet[1], exercise. The stuff they teach us in school that we promptly ignore.

[1] A big part of this is way less carbs, and mostly healthy carbs. I switched to Splenda for tea and far less sodas, almost all diet. Few desserts. Less pasta & potatoes. Most burgers are bunless now. Etc.

I her ya! Giving up carbs is tough, once you get away from stuff like white bread it really gets better. I've had just two beers so far in 2021..........
