After a rainy morning the sun came out and I snapped a quickie of my '77, it doesn't like having it's pic taken........If you look at the headstock you'll see it's real color. I hadn't been playing it much of late as it had some off-brand strings on it that needed replacing, last week it got a fresh set of DR Stainless 45-105, I'd forgotten what big, clanky mofo this thing is!

I'm tempted to say that I'll wait for the Warwick version. Oops.

Seriously though, those Spectors look great.

None of those band names ring any bells, but that's not to say I don't know him. I graduated from East in '98, so he may have been older. Attended college in Nashville, and I didn't maintain a connection with the Lincoln scene after I left. Either way, I was happy to see a reference to Lincoln and Dietze Music.

He graduated Lincoln High in 90. First place he played in public was the Birdcage Theatre at the Children's Zoo when he was 8 or 9. Played Dust in the Wind on his 60s Firebird.

Between buying for him and me since 71 I can't even think of how much money we spent at Dietze. I've played golf with Doug Fenton a few times. He's pretty good, much better than me.

Hey Kat,
I know you've got your hands full chasing down phase issues but you might want to check the solder joint on the left lug of the top pot in your pic. Probably not causing your phase issue but that wire might need a better solder to the lug. Could just be the picture but it sure looks like the white wire is barely in that lug.
Best of luck sorting out your bass. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the long run.

I know you've been a club member for a while but I didn't know you had a 4X. Welcome to the Spector contingent of the TBird clan! I think Klondike has one as well. Here's my Spector Rex5 Pro...

Spector makes fine basses and are an excellent tribute to the almighty Thunderbird. I wouldn't part with either one of them.
Rock hard, play good and have fun!
