Thunderbird Club

25808415[/URL], member: 75087"]I bet it does. I've thought about getting a 50T or maybe better the 20T so I could use it more wide open to get that nice compression when driven. I believe the 50T has the same pre as the V4B. I've heard those 2x10AVs are really great. I almost bough a couple a few years ago, but went with the Heritage 410 for my old V4BH and an VERY happy. But that sucker is heavy.

I'm not always in love with Ampeg cabs, but these 2x12s are great as well. I have this head and cab and when cranked it's absolutely fantastic. I'm just not playing any place now where I can do that.

I also have a set of Classic cabs, (210 and 115) that are louder, but I rarely need to be that loud.

Mahogany Monday is better than stormy Monday. But the song is great....

Yeah, that pick serves as a censorship bar...

As for what this is...

A few months ago, I bought this eighties Japanese Charvel Body and this chopped up Marlin guitar with the intention of marrying the two together.

I played the Marlin with my band and while it was fun and everybody was going "Where did you get THAT from?" There were some things that I started to hate about it, key of which being the fact that the selector switch was impossible to get to and that it also was uncomfortable to play sitting down.

So today I did what I bought the Marlin for in the first place and married the parts with the Charvel Body.

The cab in question was 85 pounds, iirc.

It looks like a Hoss. Fortunately my Heritage is the heaviest I own--it's 76lbs and is just big. My 212AV is 66lbs and isn't bulky or hard to move. But I'm glad the Heritage has wheels and the towel bar.

I have no one to blame but myself but my PR410 cabinet is 128lbs, wheels but no towel rack... AND the SVT6 pro I got to pair with it is 41lbs AND I got a heavy duty rack to mount it in so whatever that weighs...

I mostly got the rig in case I get a roadie I hate.

AND i'm going to look at a yorkville 8x8 this week.... 113lbs.... probably pair that with my 9.2 Genz-Benz 7lbs.... or the PF50-T

is the stock claw placement meant to be that far away from the saddles?

Got me to thinking... You're right. Mine is pretty close. Good eye Chuck!

They sell handles(towel racks) at Home Depot or Lowes or maybe even your local hardware store.

Curse you Long & McQuade!

Just got back from the kiddo's drum lesson. In my random wanderings around the store, I saw a used acoustic drum kit in good shape for $125. Asked why it was so cheap - it is a brand they don't usually carry, so it is priced to move and sold as is. Put a deposit on it to have a think on it.

Also offered a 7ender 212 guitar cab for $300. Very clean. It is $100 over the price point I was looking for.

And my Thunderbird still hasn't arrived...

I have been on the lookout for a decent kit for my kiddo too, been scouring CL for months, it’s for Christmas but nothing has come up yet.
