Thunderbird Club

You do look dashing in formal wear, every bit the part of a Bond set.

As Mike (GonePlaid) will agree - looks sharp, but we be sopping wet with sweat at the end of a set! Since Cherie disbanded BG we have done a couple more informal BG shows sans formal-wear and much more comfortable.

I did a count in my head and I have a total of 16 10" speakers available, so I really, really don't NEED anything else... I don't NEED the 8x8 cab either, and I keep thinking I'm shouldn't get it....

I also have a 410 Ampeg combo... it's on the lower left of the pic...
At one point, I had 12 15" drivers and an 18". That would be enough for a bit of volume. I'm down to 10 15" drivers and an 18". I call it restraint.

The little Carvin extension cabinet is one of the 15s. The combo has a 12", a 6", and some kind of tweeter if I remember right. It's all behind grill cloth, so I don't see it and now I don't remember for sure what's in there.

how old is that pic?

...about 5 years? It was at Slims in SF, Boz Scaggs' place. He sold it a few years ago and I've heard it's a jazz club now. It was a transitional period for BG as we 'let go' our lead guitarist and Paul who was playing horn took over at lead. We did a handful of shows like that and they went well. We found a good lead-player and did another handful of shows with him before Cherie pulled the plug due to health issues. She's doing well these days.

1st show with our new lead-player at the Makeout Room SF -

A little Thunderbird and Tuesday Tube pic to keep us on topic.

I see a couple of what look like 8 string headstocks, including the salmon colored NR. What's up with those? Are they factory?

Thanks for the recommendation! This seems interesting and is on my list to read.
American Airpower Strategy in World War II: Bombs, Cities, Civilians, and Oil

I like how the 70s versions turn a nice light cream color.

These are interesting as well! Crazy how the angle makes the headstock look almost as big as the body. Well, it is almost!:D

It's an 8 string NR......Just one, that's a mirror behind it.
