I can only dream of what Mel would have sounded like with a Thunderbird....
Clips like this make clear why Led Zep didn't want them opening for them and gave GFR the boot.
They are inherently less boomy than most of Ampeg's 410s, but retain massively thick lows.
Are they praying to the Mesa?
The Warning are scheduled to play there on 2/4 for their 2022 tour.....I just happened to remember seeing it on their tour poster....

The place they are playing in Phoenix is not very big. It used to be the Mason Jar*** and holds a couple hundred people maybe. You should come see them here. Free place to stay if you do.

Spector Bird arrived today. The finish is pretty cool In the top picture, it looked grey when I took the picture. Camera picked up the colors tho. Glad to have one of these back in the collection!

The Tele had a slightly fatter bottom, making the rocking world go round a bit more. That wasn’t what I wanted to hear, but IO wasn’t surprised because my VP just doesn’t bring the low end quite as much as I like.

But, I'm going to LA for the 1/20 show at the Troubadour - probably not gonna be able to take more time off work for more traveling than that
(but I'm strongly considering trying to get to the show in Berkeley on 1/24 - it's so close....

I’ve played rock, blues, metal, ambient, jazz, R&B, Motown, and more. Not always well, mind you, but the bass handles them all just fine. They’re quite versatile.

When I did my Ric copy and the MIJ NR copy I had, I cut up knitting needles (aluminum I think)
