Thunderbird Club

Excellent! Can't wait to share a bill with you guys.
I will probably be on the east coast a few times this year. If you guys are on a double bill somewhere, then the timing of one of those trips might have to be altered a little so I can be there. That would be a joy for me, anyway.

That's a Sex Pistols bootleg. I've had it since I was teenager. Image taken off the Internet, though.
I was a freshman in college when Sid Vicious died. I was a DJ on the student radio station, a thundering five watt AM station that you could hear from select places, but only select places. The station had one of the old-style tickertape news feeds, and I was in the station, on air when the news came that he had ODed and died. At the time, I hadn't truly discovered punk rock, so it didn't mean much to me until later on.

My goal is to play with friends who are all better musicians than I am. Being spectacularly mediocre at both bass and drums means it's easier for me to do that than it would be if I had talent and had put in the appropriate amount of practice.
I hear ya. I always sound better when playing with those better than me. Which is most of the time. So I end up sounding good most of the time. Goal achieved. Most of the time. The rest of the time I don't want to talk about.

If you come here Will, give me a heads up and i'll take some time off from work.

Speaking of Hiwatt 200s, here's another member of the family. I didn't know Bob Moog did the electronics on these.

This vid covers the RD guitars but he talks about the basses too. The sophisticated electronics, in his opinion as someone who really likes the guitars were strange and not everyday usable, which was probably echoed in the bass version. (as in - they were not popular)

Oh, and he left out Adam Clayton who also briefly played one.

My Jolana DiscoBass was an '80s Czech spin-off of the RD. (passive)

Thanks. Not active, I'm afraid. All players still alive and playing, thankfully. The sax player is very employed in the Helsinki area and the guitarist works as a tech for many high profile bands. Plays too. I play with the drummer in another band and I have (too) many bands and projects too.
We managed a reunion just before the first lockdown in 2020. It was fun.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Aesthetically, I like your Jolana the best.

I keep finding fun stuff from The Darkness, note the bra that lands onstage @2:30, Justin Hawkins slips it on - later has trouble with a guitar and the band just plays on without blinking. Remember 1 guitar = 0, 2 guitars =1.

The headstock stayed on so where's the trouble?;)
