RedVee, the finish won't match. It's VERY difficult to spot match finishes, and a larger job like you're describing is going to need a complete refin to look like it was meant to be that way. I worked at Taylor Guitars in the finishing department back in the day where I learned refinishing is a HUGE pain in the butt.

Hey, there's no reason we can't combine our favorite hobbies - sports/music...

Geeze somebody buy a bass or something, I come here so I don't have to hear about football or baseball.

The Queen is here for you!

This is the first bass I had restored. Green rules - get over it!

Kat - you could always put a couple of these Stickers on your Bird, would be a real conversation starter...

I think those are actually too large. Maybe they have something in 5.56? The holes are 40mm apart. Something 70 x 25 would do the job ... or a strip of gaffer tape. Yes dummy pots would fill the holes but I don't like having anything there which isn't used/useful. In my case an on/off switch for each pup would do instead of V-V.

Yes, those look closer to a 12ga slug. A 5.56 or possibly 9mm would fit nicely. I'm sure they have them in smaller sizes.

Normality prevails with an injection from the green lobby with no grass in sight (unless of course it's stashed in the battery box in the rear)

I'm going to have to do a light coated candy apple red bird sometime, almost metalflake looking

Why not just get a Metallic Red Epiphone Thunderbird instead, and save yourself the trouble of doing a refin?
