Yeah, some days outside Eagle River, AK (where our daughter lives) this week have been a heat wave with temps getting within a few degrees of 0C. Eric went outside in shorts and a tee shirt when it was -3C (IIRC), although he eventually decided he needed more on. But at first it felt warm...

one of the first in existence, but never really caught on.

that particular example was a Don Lace experiment and his personal instrument.

Even more than Johnny Winter's work, Allen's playing and tone here is the sound of a Firebird to me. I won't go on about all the things I love in this version. I will note that Leon's bass is somewhat muffled here; I'm sure it would have sounded perfect with a Thunderbird. The camera work (or possibly the directing) occasionally rises above mediocre, but more often falls well below.Whichever is the problem, they'd probably have done better if they'd just asked for a volunteer from the audience "who has seen Skynyrd in concert a few times".

the baby wipe is much blacker than it turned out in the picture and I have washed my hands 3 times and still have black marks on them!

I have a few sets of pyramids and have never ONCE remembered to clean them before installation…

Would you have the decency to stop talking about how great Pyramids are when I haven't ordered my second set? Please.....

Yeah, I forgot about that junk on the strings. They are the worst offenders in dirty strings. After ordering, I'll likely forget again....

LOL - I’ve heard of some Tbird players being Fender averse, but isn’t wearing a HazMat suit to play a Fender a little over the top?

Cool! I have used the 120v outlet in the bed of my Tacoma a few times. Once to splice/test a fibre optic cable, and another time to try out a bass with my MB200 in a parking lot.

SoCal electric grid being what it is (nearly 3rd world reliability) I have an inverter at the house for backup power. A 2000 peak watt gas powered inverter is quiet compared to a generator, but no where near silent. The electric inverters that run off your car battery are as silent as your car is, you’ll likely need to run the car engine to run the electric inverter for any amount of time.

My dual fuel inverter is around 5000 peak watts and was the quietest one I could find at that size. Under full load you can just barely hear it from inside the house, at idle you can’t hear it at all inside the house. If it were being used for an outdoor band setting it might be ok if distanced from the stage with a long extension cord, never tried it for that, not sure if there’d be any clean power issues with finicky amps.
