Thunderbird Club

A good story... in retrospect! :) Pave face-plants are the worst - been there, done that. :blackeye: In one, my 'black-out' during impact saved me re-living the moment. (a silver lining of a concussion?) ATC I've been lucky and I heal well.
If I were to do a lot of riding, this would be my helmet. I want more protected than the top of my Thunderbird head.

Wrasslin' ? Watched that when we were kids! Used to see Haystacks Calhoon on TV regularly. Then in University, we used to go to the WWF at Maple Leaf Gardens where we would cheer for 'Iron' Mike Sharpe (and got mentioned for it in TV commentary a couple of times).

I too don't understand bike racing. But I really enjoy the pursuit; the two riders start at opposite sides of the track and the race is won when one over takes the other.

I also enjoy the skiing and snowboarding pursuit; 4 racers on the course at a time. I have hopes that this format is brought to bobsledding.
I've never gone to see WWE (for a lot of reasons), you have my respect (or disrespect ) for enduring it! A guy that I used to work construction go to Louisville Gardens to watch it. The things he said people dead in the stands. I just can't picture old grandmas getting all worked up and spitting on the wrestlers they hated as they went by. Maybe we have a better class of lowlife than you do in Canada. I another guy I used to know was a "referee," but we never talked about it.

When there is demolition snow boarding and skiing I'll be a fan. I actually watch some during the Olympics (likely not this year). Needs to be more like jousting.

The pursuit (ski cross, snowboard cross) is close.

My vision for pursuit bobsledding (bobsled cross) would be especially entertaining in the 4 man bob. In standard bobsledding, the two guys in the middle are just ballast. In bobsled cross, they could have clubs and actively beat on the other team(s).

I'm working on a concept for figure skating...

At a freak show, are the freaks on stage or in the audience??

I will refrain from posting a video of the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow. I did see that show with the classic line up of Jim Rose, Bebe the Circus Queen, Bam Bam, Mr. Lifto, Matt the Tube, and The Enigma.

I will say that the Chainsaw Juggling Team is an awesome spectacle to behold.

I'd replace the clubs with laser tag handguns that you can use to target the sleds to cripple them by inducing drag or compromising the steering capability.

 That would be fun-for the observers, anyway.
Met Haystacks(and Mrs. H)after a match in Tampa in ~1963. Very nice guy.

There was a promo many, many, mango seasons ago wherein Kristi Yamaguchi* checked Bret Hedican and knocked him on his fazaza. I suspect they had a lotta fun shooting that.

*(Mrs. Hedican, btw)

V-4BH

The V-4 is at home. It naturally has a brighter and less big sound than the BH, which is big and smooth. Then add the Heritage 410 and the BH can do some serious lows. But the Heritage isn't a dark and boomy as most Ampeg 410s tend to be.

yours as well? nice rig…was asking cause I definitely need to re eq my 13 with tapes when noodling at home or playing out live…the TB+ sound terrific with the LaBellas but I need to either cut on the bottom of the E and A strings or crank up the mids to account for the string volume disparity I don’t experience at home…
