They don’t seem affected by temperature extremes.
My wife and I are going to set up an Etsy store in the spring, and I’ll probably also offer some truss rod covers and pickguards.

Neil Murray is great! When I was in Facebook I drilled him with questions about his old P-bass with a Tele neck and strange large pickups (4 Mighty Mite P-coils crammed into a custom made cover and a possibility to choose a preferred pair), about his National Health days and that rig and he dutifully answered with great detail. He even knew what pickup Richard Sinclair had in his Jazz Bass circa '75 when Hatfield & The North recorded "The Rotters' Club" (it was an EB bridge pickup installed between the Jazz pickups which were removed) and resolved a mystery why his bass sound was so different on that album (it sounds great).
Not to mention he is a superb bassist.

I wonder why he didn't have a fretless Aria since he appeared in their adverts too. He didn't play them very long 'though.
He is great. "Victims Of The Fury" is one my favs from him and even 'though it was recorded in 1980 style- and soundwise it could have been made straight after "For Earth Below". "The Ring" is in my Trower top 10 easily.
Jimmy Dewar, what a voice. And Bill Lordan was a perfect drummer for Trower.

Listening to some Blackfoot and thought I'd post this. Good example of great music, singing and an engaging story. No drugs required to understand. Nice variations in intensity.
They were incredible live. As good as any band I ever saw. Interesting fun facts that Ricky, Greg (bass) have all been part of Skynyrd early on, and Jackson (drums). If I recall, all three played some on Street Survivors. Ricky's grandfather was the inspiration for Curtis Lowe.

LOL - IIRC there’s a running feud between Spector and Warwick because Stewart Spector worked with NS to create the Spector NS basses. Very unique in shape and design for their day. Then he turned to Hans at Warwick to help with the initial production run after which time Hans decided to copy the design and market it as his (Streamer bass). Some real bad blood between the two companies to this day. So I guess one could accurately state “the pic is either an early Spector or Warwick prototype”.

The Chinabuckers are clearly a bang for the buck bargain. They do sound good but like our Queen noted, probably not as much content as a VP pup and noticeably less than a Lull or Thunderbucker. The great news is, they have the same footprint as the more expensive options. So start with the Chinabuckers as a darn good sounding place holder and as time and money permits upgrade to Lulls or whatever if you feel inclined to try.
Once I lock in on the best pot and cap values for the Chinabuckers I’ll post it hopefully along with some audio clips of each option in the trial. An important note - there’s very very few pot choices (basically only two, both mini alpha brands) that will fit a Tbird in standard stacked thru the body configuration. When I find the magic pot/cap value I might try custom making a full sized CTS style pot that fits the bird. I think @JIO is doing something similar.
Only stands to reason, I read it here on TB, just before the OP flamed out in an epic rage quit.
