Exactly this.I used to be so heavy handed.
Took a bit to tame it all.
Now i let the amp and bass do the work.
I mean, I have to do my part.
But wasn’t to much of a challenge to reinvent how I play.

My first Epi Goth that I paid $125 for had one. I was cocky enough to to think I could fix it. Tried everything I could find on the internet; heat and all the rest. Gave it away when I deemed it a hopeless cause.I've never knowingly owned a bass with a twisted neck. Just curious, can you actually see a twist? I'm not skeptical at all as I've heard this many times, just don't think I've seen it.
He had that gear in the sleeve pics of "Razamanaz" too.
This is even more off-topic but Zal Cleminson was the reason I revisited some Naz tracks as he played with them in the late 70's. Zal of course was the guitarist of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band and as it's been 40 years since Alex died (4th of Feb, 1982) I've been on a SAHB kick lately. Chris Glen did not use a T-Bird as far as I know but his Telecaster and Acoustic 370/301 sound here (and on their "Live" album) is as great as John Paul Jones'. Ted McKenna is just superb on drums, he has that Richie Hayward vibe, cousin Hugh on keys very underrated secret weapon of the band and Zal's guitar is stingy as ever. He did use a non-reverse Firebird at times.
Sorry for the rant but I'm sure I'm not the only one SAHB fan among us?
Very cool! Was it a kit? Here's the one my son-in-law and I built. We refer to it as a teardrop on steroids.

our apt in SC is too small to host but our house in Ridgemark is huge (4 unused bedrooms, our 18 year old now lives on campus in San Jose and the girls have long been gone) and it’s where i keep all my toys (Birds, amps, cars, pool, boat) it’s also a 45 minute drive from SC…just sayin’….![]()
So you're saying you aren't interested in my '64 TRC for $500 even if I give you a 10% discount (but wait)--and free shipping? Deals like that don't happen very often you know.![]()
I have the B1 Four that I play around with at times. It’s cheap and a good way to learn about all kinds of different effects and amp simulations.I do like my Zoom B3n even if I use very few of the functions. Simulating an SVT while running through a Sunn head and cab is interesting.
I feel like I'm putting you on the spot here, and that's not my intention, we could just get together socially somewhere near, your Apt. in SC and that would be fine, I really am not volunteering your place for this, please don't think that. I'd be very happy if those that could make it would share some adult beverages and food at a nice place.
Ok @dagrev
Saw this from Nazareth, dubbed, but realized today, there’s a Thnderbird on scene (german or holland tv show)
Great overdriven sound. Can't tell if those are V4 or SVT cabs.

not at all guys, really. just wanna make sure I don't have work stuff going on so I can be present. you guys are more than welcome to come and stay and pretty much do as you please. GEO's been to the house and can attest to the size. there will be some live shows that week too so, we'll have plenty going on..Geeze, hope I'm not the one to cause any trouble here.
there you go again Jeff...Geeze, hope I'm not the one to cause any trouble here.
I’m up for that!Well, so the idea was that since Jeff @JJR58 was going to be out to Cali for a visit we'd try to somehow meet up and have some fun somewhere near Chucky's place - Not his place, not volunteering him for that. So the thought would be a small GTG at someplace nearby to share some drinks, eats, laughs and etc. I think Jeff is there between 7/2 and 7/6, it's far enough out that I would likely drive down, it would be pretty cool to meet anybody that can comfortably make it.
There may have been some sarcasm in my initial suggestion. You could take the one offa yer 2021 NR. Or. There's a place that makes custom TRC's out of wood. I got one for my Epi EB-0. Looks pretty good.

Gold. And in good shape, but since it had "The repair," I'm not even certain it's original. It wouldn't fit, the screw locations on my bass are different, what color is the lettering?
Thai stick! I haven’t heard of that for a long timeAll I can tell you is IST is 13.5 hours from PST...unless you have some thai stick in which case you don't know what day it is and likely don't care either.
