Thunderbird Club

only use I got for them is when EQ’d a la Jaco….GREAT for that..

A rehearsal studio, (of course way back when here in NYC) had a choice of a full on 70’s SVT. And choices of heads.
They had a 370.
My fav was always the 370 on top of that 810.
Hey, I was a punk kid back then.
Now I’m a old fart of a punk.

That doesn't bother me, I actually kind of like that, just the sheer volume of pages from day to day is amazing.

Kinda glad I'm retired for the most part...
I still haven't gotten a response to the Gibson tractor...(not counting the John Deere post)

Those tuners are pretty cool. Don’t think I’ve seen any heart keys in the past. Did you make those?

off an '80s Ibanez Roadstar - I have another set on my Dano P

The (SX?) P-style neck and generic (but nice light ash!) 'loaded' P-style body was given to me for some friend work so I built it up with some nice parts; '80s Roadstar tuners, a Fender PV63 P pu, a Kent Armstrong lipstick pu and custom 250k/100k stacked V pot and T pot. I may install a Tonestyler tone pot eventually. I redefined the 'hooked' hs (looked more Fender-esk), cut a bone nut for it, stripped the amber clear-coat off the neck (left it on the fb) and shot it with satin nitro. For a cheap neck (a new SX bass costs a little over $100) - it's actually very good and the frets had no wear. A nice light 'no worries' bass that plays and sounds good! (for small change)

The lighter colored maple fb looks like binding after stripping the amber finish off.

He's a great player though, I saw him on the David Letterman show years ago, he played with the band, he gets a great sound live especially in a little place like the Ed Sullivan theatre, he was definitely loud though. But I like it as long as the amp isn't aimed at my ears.
Most definitely. Way underrated. I hadn't seen anything of his in years and watched a clips from about 10 or years ago and I forgot how good he was. His talent is overshadowed by his antics. If anybody but on a rock concert, he did.

I saw him many years ago before he went full bat shiznit crazy... Before he joined Damn Yankees and played the kind of music he said he would never play...

I originally posted the tractor. It was in jest at the time, don’t remember the context of the discussion going on, but to the best of my very limited knowledge on the subject, it is a Gibson tractor from way back, no affiliation with Gibson guitars that I’m aware of. IIRC someone had posted a pic of a vintage (Ford) Thunderbird.

Lamborghini built air conditioning units…(tractors as well)…
