This is how Rickenbacker "addressed" bridge-plate tail-lift in the late '80s... I had one in Fireglo and when I saw the two wood-screws through the bridge I thought someone did a crude DIY on it. :eyebrow: These (4004) were the ones with the tr access at the neck heal, so they had a 2-piece pg for access.

I do like the 3 point bridge, but the Greco styled claw 3 point is my favorite.

My MIJ copy was faithfully made with the same flaw. And I solved the problem the same way, but with screws that match:

IF I had any tail lift problems on my Ric’s, I would just add two screws to it in less time than it to to post complaining about it.

I replaced the newer version (v2) Ric bridge with a Hipshot, I really like the older version bridge, it’s stoopid simple like a Gibson tuna-matic.
