Thunderbird Club

The 360 was first, designed in 1967, probably released in 1968 but I've only played through one one time so I'm not sure about the tone controls, I don't believe so but I could be wrong.
I'd like one of those things but you know............

Catch of the Day: Circa 1969 Acoustic 360/361 Bass Amplifier - Fretboard Journal
I got mine more than 10 years ago, when they were still dirt cheap. Any more, $1000 for one that works well is a bargain. Somebody painted the blue on mine flat black, which I keep intending to fix. But, projects. Everyone here knows my history with getting anything done.

Only ever bought one phaser. It worked so I never tried any others..

now overdrives, I got a tote full of thems.

I love low powered tube amps for guitar almost as much as I love Thunderbirds. The difference is that I can actually use a Thunderbird as it was intended to be used. Mostly.
totally hear ya…. the trend is so hot folks started capitalizing by building new ones mirroring the old ones and adding an art deco twist…. the formula has proven successful as there are no frills on these (builders recognize all switching and most shaping happens in pedalboards these days) so the margins can be very attractive as long as they are true tone machines…

Love phasers. My current phaser is this Hardwire stereo phaser. 2-stage mode cops Squire's phased Thunderbird on "Safe (Canon Song) pretty well and when I get the new rehearsal space running I'll try the 10-stage with the Yamaha CP30 piano (used by Max Webster, The Cars and Field Music) for some Tony Banks/MXR Phase 100 vibe. Not that I can play it really....View attachment 4595821
My drummer friend just bought a CP30 last week.
