Science is a verb, not a noun, hence "The Science (tm)" <noun>. And we were told that a certain official is "The Science(tm)"

So, when Matt Damon in The Martian says "I'm going to science the $#!t out of this, it was a correct statement. But what he proceeds to do was not science, but knowledge, negating the prior correct statement.
[/rant]
Ah, I see what you were doing. Slower than normal on the uptake.

Progress?

It looks terrible now, but once I get the final fitment, clean-up, gluing, and covering done, hopefully it'll look presentable :nailbiting:

.....as it turns out, cutting corners is not as easy as it seems :bag:

:)
One good way is an electric carving knife, if one is around. A wire connected to current will smoothly (generally) melt it nicely. Not a recommendation. We used to use this for in construction to carve out Styrofoam in OSB sandwich panels we had made (Structural Insulated Panels or SIP). When we started using them in early 80 I'm not sure they even had a name. The wire with current worked great. Not a recommendation.

If I had been smart, I would've used the knife with the smaller blade.....:bag:

But it'll work out in the end, I'm sure. :)

Probably.

science is knowledge though, so your distinction is moot.

mid-14c., "state or fact of knowing; what is known, knowledge (of something) acquired by study; information;" also "assurance of knowledge, certitude, certainty," from Old French science "knowledge, learning, application; corpus of human knowledge" (12c.), from Latin scientia "knowledge, a knowing; expertness," from sciens (genitive scientis) "intelligent, skilled," present participle of scire "to know."
