Thunderfunk Amp club!

Here's a photo of my TF 750-A and my two AE 410 Bergs.

Oh my...

I've had a 550A/B since just before Dave started shipping the B. Mine is all A but for the power section which is B.

In any case, yesterday, I finally got my hands on a cab that I've been searching for for some time. When not using the 'new' cab, I run the amp through an Aguilar GS210 and GS115.

the henry is a great cab, i've owned 2 of them ... I'm curious where the schroeder users are, i've got a 550a (upgraded to b) on the way and plan on pairing it with a schroeder 410r .. anyone tried this combination ??

I have just acquired a Berg AE410 to go with my TFB550A.

I had it at one practice sans drums. Just keyboard and electric guitar. I found that I was able to dial in lots of tones that I was happy with as opposed to my 1x15s where I would spend a fair amount of the practice time fiddling with the tone or settling for a sound that was just alright. Very nice and even sounding with the TF.

A few minutes ago I was again fiddling with the TF/AE410 to see what it can do volume wise. All I can say is that I have no concerns about keeping up with the band in a live setting. I think the AE410 will bury my 2 1x15s. It is very loud and at the same time much clearer, tighter and even sounding than my old EVs. And did I mention loud? Painfully loud. Wow, a single 4x10 can do that? Who knew?

I can't wait to get this out on a gig! The TF was a big boost to the sound of my rig with the pair of 1x15s, but now with the Berg cab I think I am all set.

The only other upgrade that I could see is possibly moving up to the TF 750A. Which you may or may not need.

Wonderful rig... one of the best 'mix and matches' out there IMO if you want it warm, punchy and a bit 'old school meets new school'. Nice! Enjoy!

At my show on Sat. night my TFUNK 750 cut out on me. A quick switch off and back on fixed the promlem for the rest of the night but its got me worried.

A few times since I've had the amp I cut it on and nothing. When I unplug the fuse and plug it back in then it worked perfect.

I am using (2) Accugroove Tri 15's (8ohms each) total load is only 4ohms. Bass is a Dingwall Super J5. The pre gain on the FUNK is at 5 and the master is at 7.

Anyone have an issue like this before?

The led's on mine also stay on after shutdown

I am sorry you had an issue. Knock on wood, I have had no issues with mine... My lights do stay on a bit after I turn it off and it sounds like a jet turbine engine winding down as well. Sounds really cool, but scared me at first until I found out it was normal.

Def hit up Dave and explain it to him. He has always been very responsive to me with any questions I had.

Well I emailed Dave and no less than an hour later he sent me an email w/ pics and also called me to explain. WOW!!!!

The fuse slot had a bit of play on it so it was losing it connectivity. Promblem fixed and two huge thumbs up to Dave. Now thats customer service!

I've read many stories like this, and have experienced the same awesome customer service from him. Awesome amp, great builder and great guy. Makes me feel good in my investment.
