Thunderfunk Amp club!

Here's the new rig TF-750A along with my Crown PB-3 and two Bergantino AE 410's. Decided to run a line out of the FX 2 output of the TF to the Crown when running the two 4 ohm Bergs together. Which will only be used for large outdoor concerts. (ear plugs included)

I just stumbled upon Thunderfunk and am very interested but a bit confused..I checked out their site...are they not in production right now?

Yes they are in production. I ordered mine (750A) on Dec 2nd and received it Dec 17th. You can purchase the amp right from Dave Funk, just give him a call.

Only been using the amp a short time but I can definitely say it's the best amp I've ever owned. They sound incredible.

HI

For sure. He also has a used 550 for $850. Thats how I got mine this summer. He put a new case on it for me, w warranty. Youd thought it was brand new. He also said he'd give me full credit if I ever wanted to trade it up for a 750!! Way cool!

Hes a prince of a guy. We talked on the fone for an hour on my way to Brooklyn in the car that day. Great knowledge of electronics, etc.

My amp sounds amazing. Very little knob turning required to get a super sound. Its the tubiest ss amp Ive owned

I spoke to Dave a few weeks ago and he is definitely still in business! He is working on a few things that are occupying a bit of his time and I hope he will share his recent activities when it is appropriate. I think it is very cool what he has going on and all I can say is I wish him the very best in everything he does! He is truly a rare breed!

Peace,

T

HI

For sure, Paul. Nice Fodera, btw. I used to have a VW classic. Is that whay yours is? Looks like it

Rob

Hi Rob,

Yes, It's a VW Classic bought it in 2000. I guess there were a handful of these basses that Vic signed. I was lucky enough to get one of them. It's a player...

(Checked out your site pretty cool) Hopefully some where down the line there's a Will Lee Sadowsky in my future. Spoke to Will a few weeks ago about his model. Sadowsky just raised there prices by a few hundred dollars.

HI

Cool. Ive had a few Foderas but now I have an artist deal with Sadowsky. My vw classic was my fave by a mile. I became friends with his bass tech, Anthony, and spent the day with them in San Fran a few years ago. Vic signed mine and the concert was amazing. Anthony is a great bassist, also, and has many Foderas himself.

The Will Lee model kills!! Ive had over 20 Sadowsky's and its my fave jazz bass from them Ive had. Dont hesitate. Best workhorses in the business!!

Rob

Mind telling us about the custom configuration?

And how do you like the TF610? I remember the hubbub about Dave building his own cabs a few years ago, but then as far as I could tell, nothing ever really came of it. Would love to hear one of the 410s...

The custom mod is nothing special just how I wire up the speakon..

The prototype 610 that I played through sounded awesome!! Very full sounding without any mud... It had some extra tweeters in it that they aren't putting in the production model. This cab matches very well with the 750 amp. the clarity & punch is like nothing I have ever played.

I know they are finishing up a few 410s right now and I am anxious to play one of those as well....
