Ti's are a good string, the low tension is really nice and they have a decent amount of highs and mids to work with.

TI Flats are oh so Good!!!

Take out Ti and put the Ghs PW for few jams, sound is blur compare to Ti when in mix. Put the Ti back and my ibby SR sing wonderful.

If the PWs don't work out for my Yummy Yammy, I do have a few different sets I'd like to experiment with. But the TIJFs are not on my list.
Just coming back to TI Flats after 5 years with a set of DR legends. Forgot how much I enjoyed playing these strings! Much more musical than the Legends.

I put a set of La Bella 760FL on my Jazz Bass after 2 weeks the Jazz Flats went back on

recent convert to Ti, tried loads of flats and never liked the thud thus sound, had a bit of spare cash so i thought, give some TI's a go good them for a very good prove, (taking advantage of free EU trade whilst it lasts) so went for it.
never using any other flats again, these are the only strings that feel play and sound like i always thought flats should sound like. mid tension, feel great, not particularly bright, lovely and warm sound, but the deal for me is they have a lovely warm growl and loads of sustain, all the other flats i have tried just don't have that.

Anyone using Ti's with a filter pre? I have an ACG SC recurve that has a filter pre similar to the Wal and Alembic's. I'm wondering if the tonal characteristics of the Ti's will be rendered obsolete with this type of pre. Kind of an expensive experiment that, if it works, would be awesome. If it doesn't it would certainly be a drag.

I know i should jugde the GHS 3025 maybe after 6 months..... But i found the E string sound trully lifeless and dull after 2 weeks ,even with wide open tone knob!!!! In my past opinion , even broken in Labella DTF 760FL and LTF4A has not such E sound !!!

My TI Jazz Flats are about 14 years old. They have been on a couple of basses and are currently on my P. They still are a bit zingy, but rolling the tone knob back about 50% fixes that. Expensive? Not when it's spread over 14 years and showing no signs of dying. I have a newer set on my Yammie BB605 and the B string is just as good as the others.
Had them on my Jazz since 2010 (same set), and have had them on my fretless P since 2015.

So if anyone asks if they will fit on a Mustang PJ, the answer is yes indeed !

In the pocket n' thumpy. So woody, so greasy...
I used to have an American series Precision with Ash body and maple FB neck that I put TI flats on for a while. I was playing in a country band and we covered older and new country and the tone of those strings really sat well with music we were playing. I also quite liked the feel of those strings but I ended up going back to rounds after a while. Fast forward, and I traded the ash body (which was quite heavy) to a guy for a nice light alder body in black gloss. Have to put that bass back together but I think I might just string it back up with the TI's, because they would really fit well with the funky - soul music I'm playing now.
I have Ti flat on Pbass around 1 years and 4 months , and a 4 months old ibby SR300E with a years old Ti flat currently.
I found the set on SR300e has little stiffer feel on my plucking finger than the set on pbass when I try both in same plucking position which 5 in from the G string bridge saddle.
And the set on SR300E could let me set action till roughly 1.8mm on E string and 1.3mm on G string without fret buzz ( neck relief .010).

TI flat sound pretty nice on Sub Ray 4.
Been try Eb cobalt flat 2814(extra pack in drawer), GHS 3025 (precut set for previous Player P bass) , EB flat group III ( fresh from pack) and Ti JF344 (fresh from pack) , finally happy with Ti flat.
Ti flat make both D and G sound fuller and balance with E and A on my sub ray 4.
The Ti and both EB flat has nice E string sound , but the GHS 3025 E just sound worst compare to it A,D and G.
Before I make the bass string test drive, I decide to swap either stock mm pickup or preamp with aftermarket stuff (Duncan and delano)for better tone. But, I found I am not licking with Ray34 and US stingray 4H tone I play at GC, they are too bright for my taste. I more prefer sub ray 4 stock pup which has warmer vibe.
Been read some TB member claim the Ti flat like “ women voice ” on his Stingray......but, I believe he has a female Stingray actually.
Now the Ti flat meet my taste with stock pickup and save my money.
