I recently got one of these for dirt cheap. Excellent condition too. However, the one pedal I want to use it on the silly thing won't turn. The belt slips on the grip tape that's on the pedal post. So...

How can I fix that? More tension on the belt? An extra wrap of belt around the post? Silicon lubricant to reduce friction on the spacer? Something else? Am I the only one that want to use the TIP?

I have one. I just took a look at it and the belt seems to be wrapped around that post twice. The tension on it is also sort of high so you might want to see if yours can be tightened somehow.
Awesome pedal but it definitely doesn't need to be so big. I think Electro Harmonix came up with the idea in the 70s.
it was called the Hot foot but I guess they just scrapped the idea.

I betcha that's it. I'm only wrapped once. I'll try two. Wondering how tough it's going to be to reassemble with that much tension? I took it apart to re glue the grip tape. What a PITA. I thought I saw it with one wrap before I took it apart, but I may have missed it in my zeal to fix the tape. Thanks Steve!

Hey no problem. Heres a photo of what that part of mine looks like if it helps.
