I am using the Gotoh tuners that were on it on another project and I had these 2+2 tuners laying around that I wanted to use. I got a drop d in the same style, so 3+1 was my option with 1 treble tuner left over.

I don't really want to modify, but I really don't like the current look. Inlaying a coin is an option...so is the clock.

I do like that photoshop rendering, though...

Nope! Totally not what I meant. :rollno:

So what if it's "silly"? Big, flippity-whoop. Nothing wrong with that, even if it was made to look even more ridiculous. It's not a fashion show, a beauty contest or a debutante ball. The OP wants to personalize it even more than he already has. Frankly, I love some of the ideas people have been throwing out…meat hooks and googly-eyes…the sillier, the betterer! :wacky:

So, I'll phrase my question differently; "Why not 'silly'?"

Of course, the "headless option" is somewhat intriguing. However, I can just hear my first, serious/studious art teacher calling it "a waste of perfectly good 'negative space' with which to put something interesting upon." :bookworm: (You'd think 'negative space' was her mortal enemy or something! But, as always, she's probably right.)
