To netflix or not to netflix?

Had Netflix for a while. Grew to hate it. Every time I had an urge to watch something, it seems they *never* had it. For ME, it was a waste of money.
I couldn't find a way to do it.
Though I think they still offer a free trial.
One thing I will say, I don't like the layout. I don't like that they'll list all of 75 films in a section, even if there is more than 75 in that section. There is no index, you just need to use the search function.
I'd like to be able to browse the full offerings!
That's the camp I'm in. found myself having it for a month then taking a six month break from it.
I've never tried and at work right now, so don't know for sure.

I read that and presumed it was probably easier for movies than it is for tv show to provide cc.
English isn't the primary language at home and having English cc on tv shows would be a huge incentive for me to try it out.
But there is something about Netflix that is creepy, they do not give out all the information that easily and you feel obliged to register just to get simple fact that should be accessible such as the complete catalog.

it is 7-8 bucks a month man, you can waste more trying out bass strings...just do the free trial and see if you like it, you will know better than us what you like!I like the way it is laid out on my xbox and my roku box, the only thing is that if there is more than one season they are all in the same folder (whatever you want to call it), but you can easily see where it says S1E3 witch will be season one episode 3....S2E1 is season 2 Ep. one...really easy...I like being able to watch a series from beginning to end with no commercials, took me a long time to watch all of "scrubs" but I liked it! same thing with HULU, HULU also has a free trial, I would try them both, if you like them both like we did it is only a few bucks a month, way less than satellite or cable!
not to muddle this, but you should get a Roku player and get Hulu, Netflix, Amazon streaming, plus other stuff. The box itself is $50, plus you have to pay your netflix subscription, but you can stream all kinds of things to your TV without any expensive device (PS3, wii, etc)

fancy! I love my roku for what it is.
The streaming thing is great for like, a year. Then you are scraping the bottom of the barrel for cheapo comedies, outdated dramas that you have already seen, boring classics from the 1940's, etc. They recently added a ton of horror and action films, but they all turned out to be Korean.

There is more to watch on Netflix streaming than I have time for. Of course, my days arnet spent in front of the TV.
There are plenty of movies to watch, lots of god Documentaries, and TV shows as well (they just never seem to have the season before the one thats currently airing on cable).
They offer a Free Trial for a period of either 2 or 4 weeks, with access to the entire library.
Rather than have an idea of what I want to watch and look for it (though I will on occasion) I usually choose to browse until I find something that looks interesting. Ive discovered some really good film/Docs that way.

Right. I envisaged the whole free trial thing as being akin to an App-lite, in that you don't get to 'see' what the full, paid version offers.
Having said that, having all the Sky movie channels and Sky box office seems more than enough at the moment. Netflix feels like one of those things I'm convincing myself I need, when in reality I actually don't. Mind you, I said that about Sky Plus and I'd be lost without that

Honestly, I love my streaming Netflix. Its not a perfect system, but I find plenty to watch on there.
In fact, it was a large reason why I bought my PS3 after I moved out of my ex's place.

I know you meant the opposite, but believe me, for someone who likes movies about serial killers, dirty cops, and psychological drama, Korea makes some of the best anywhere. They tend to have really expressive actors that convey very "human" qualities in their characters, and they are masters of the dark and gritty aesthetic. Their humor is actually very much like American humor, too, in its nature and tone, making the movies easy to watch.
I love it. I have had access to things I would normally not watch. I'm not much of a movie goer so this is letting me catch up on movies everyone insists I "MUST" see. It's also been fun to watch the old cartoons with my daughter. She's digging Shera
