No chance in France on that one...you've been quite clear...I’ve explained my problem with it in this very thread. Perhaps you missed it?

I see you took it as an opportunity to troll me furtherIf you’re saying that you are unsubscribing, I’m not sure why you felt that it was necessary to state that.
Nah. But, feel to add me and whoever else you perceive as treating you unfairly to your ignore list. You’re probably one of the “too many knobs for me” folks, aren’t you?

Same here. . . There's already knobs on the amp and knobs on the pedals. Throw in a bass with just passive V/V/T controls I'm already pushing the limits of becoming a "knob-twisting fool"I spent more time messing around trying to find a 'perfect' tone than actually playing.
Wise words.I am going to put this question in the category of gratuitous sharing of pet peeves. IMHO of course so YMMV.
TB is an internet forum. The whole idea is we get to express our opinion. So I don't see the problem with anyone writing: “Too many knobs for me.” In fact, I would be surprised if the response was not posted, since we all have different ideas of perfection.
For the record my #1 has 5 knobs and a switch. My #2 has 4 knobs and a switch. If you think that is not enough knobs, great! If you think that is too many knobs, great! Your entitled to your opinion, but don't expect it to have any bearing on what I think about my basses.
I see you took it as an opportunity to troll me further. Hope you enjoyed it.

You just keep responding with your BS. A hit dog will holler, won’t it?

It's an internet discussion forum... people are discussing. That's the whole point.I’m just curious as to why some of those who seem to prefer less controls find it necessary to frequently state, “Too many knobs for me.”.?

People are trying to contribute, maybe some people just aren't good at discussing.
I'm a HS teacher, and my school has a big focus on this right now. We call it Habits of Discussion.
There is a instigator (or as we say, an OP)
Then you can be a builder (agree) or a challenger (disagree).
In my classroom, I would tell the "Too many knobs for me" person that they need to explain themselves.
"Too many knobs for me BECAUSE..."
This.... this whole thread.....Personally, I would just avoid saying anything if it wasn’t my preference unless I was asked for my thoughts directly.
My perfect bass gets the sound I want without touching any knobs at all. Same with my amp. Sounding great with everything at 12 o'clock is the right amp for me.
On most gigs I only use the master volume on the amp.
