Too Many Knobs vs. Not Enough Knobs

Why is it that when someone posts an active bass that there frequently tends to be an individual or individuals who find it necessary to post a statement like, “too many knobs for me.”? I don’t believe that I’ve ever seen anyone make a statement after a person posts a P bass saying, “Not enough knobs for me.”.
All it takes to get a "not enough knobs for me" is to post a Joe Dart signature model.

Eh, people are jerks, the internet just makes them more visible. Plenty of good people here too, some of whom I’ve even met in meatspace.

There absolutely are plenty of good people in this forum. I’ve received a LOT of help & advice over the years from a variety of members. Some of that has taken place recently. I just feel that people often are so concerned with trying to influence others that they don’t consider how it will be perceived by those they are communicating with. I’ve also been worse at that in the past than I am now. Trying to get to Heaven….😉

Man, the ONLY way that I’m gonna say anything about a bass that you post is if you seem to be implying that I need one and I disagree with your assessment. If you’re buying it for me, I’m not saying a thing even if I vehemently disagree! 🤣
