Top 10 Basses you currently own!

Finally got a pic of #10, A Hagstrom set up as a Piccolo Bass:

HagSwdFauto.jpg

1. Fender MIM Jazz w/Sadowsky single coils. My first bass. Bought new in 2000. This is one of the good ones with a fantastic neck and tone with the Sad pups.

2. '93 G&L L-2000 (Ash/maple). Heavy, but worth it once you plug it in. Currently strung w/TI flats. Yummy.

3. TBC JT-400JJ. Great bass for the cash. Really light and purdy. Will eventually switch out the pups and pre.

4. MTD Kingston Fretless. I'm not a serious fretless player, but it's nice having one around when the mood strikes.

5. MTD Kingston Active. Nice bass, but it's hard to find time to get it in the rotation. Thinking about going with a Bart pup and Aggie pre in this one.

I just got a Skyline JO4, but I haven't figured out where it fits in this list yet. Need to set it up to my liking first.

1)Pedulla MVP 4 Custom USA (with stereo preamp build in)
2)Basscollection 5
3)Warwick Corvette 4
4)OLP Stingray 4
:bassist:

Did I say three basses, I forgot the one I got yesterday, they olp is a steal for 200 euro's, plays even better than the musicman stingray I have owned. It only needed a bit of intonation and neck adjustment. and looks beautifull too.
On the other hand nothing plays and sounds like my Pedulla, Michael Pedulla himself has build it and he sure knows how to build a bass.

Played over a Hartke transient attack 3500 Head and Hartke 4x10 xl basscabinet.
Just sold my Hartke 15" xl cabinet, because 4x10 together with the 15 sounds great but only on big stages, I don't have roadies, and I wanted to get rid of people asking me why I brought my own PA. Believe me the 4x10 is more than enough and I can get any sound I want with it

Ranking what I have is so hard, since I use most of them regularly:

1) Fender Roscoe beck 5
2) Fender Precision Special (California series 97')
3) Peavey Cirrus 5 maple
4) Yamaha TRB John Patitucci
5) Musicman Stingray 4EX (Japanese made)
6) Fender Marcus Miller 4
7) Fender MIA Jazz (68' body, 89' RI neck rosewood)

Just My eb and db: Vintage V940B, Carlo Giordano SB-100P 3/4 size. Both too different to choose one as overall favourite.
I've got ideas for no.'s 3 and 4: Maybe a six string, a P or J 4, maybe a five, also had the crazy idea, recently of converting a 4 into a 3, would probably want to get a new upright as well sometime.

In this order

MTD 535
Sdowsky Standard 5 (actually Fedex has it)
F Bass BN5
Warwick Dirty Blonde Thumb 5
Warwick Katana BO 4
Warwick Infinity SN TCS 5
Warwick $$ 4

Wish I hadn't sold
Dingwall ABII 5
G&L L2500

I don't need 3 more, I got to sell two or three of these.

Not 10 basses but 5 basses and 5 guitars. All made is USA except the black Sadowsky RJ5 Toyko I had to have.

1. Sadowsky NYC Trans white/morado board
2. Sadowsky RJ5 Tokyo
3. Lakland 55-94 Deluxe Quilt/Birdseye maple board
4. Fender Amer Deluxe Jazz 5 Teal/Maple..for sale soon
5. Fender Amer Precision Bass - Oly white/maples

1. PRS McCarty 1pc Tiger quilt top, solid IRW neck
2. PRS Custom 24 20th Anniversay Black quilt
3. Gibson Les Paul special edition Pewter/aluminum
4. Fender Amer Strat Natural ash
5. Carvin Acoustic AC175

Out of the 60 that I own, in no particular order the top 10 are:

1) 1988 Fodera Emperor Elite with spalted sycamore top. I am the only owner. Was custom made. I ordered the bass at the Avenue O shop over pizza with Joey, Vinnie, and Anthony Jackson!

2) 1981 Electra MPC Outlaw with onboard electroinics. Outrageous bass!

3) 1978 Aria Pro II SB800. Not many made, only produced for 1 year. Basically a bolt on SB1000. Dope.

3) Any of my 3 Aria SB1000's. 2 words-- Duran Duran.

4)1991 g&l 2000 Leo Fender sig edition in white with black hardware. This bass can sound like anything from a vintage P to a stingray. I used to call it the poor man's Wal.

5) 1976 Carl Thompson Battle Bass. Each CT is one of a kind but this thing is ridiculous. Claypool's old steady is also a '76.

6) Wal Mach I "Geddy Lee" Style (Black and Gold hardware). Bought it recently to replace the fretless Wenge top Mach I that I traded Tiran (see below)

7) 1985 Kubicki Ex-Factor #047 acquired in trade from Tiran Porter formerly of the Doobies. This was his exlusive bass played on their 1987 reunion tour.

8) 1991 EBMM Stingray Natural with birdseye neck and board. Even has the string mutes!

9) Heartfield DR6 - 6 string bass, nothing but lobe

10) Yamaha BB5000FL. The best 5 string in the universe as far as I am concerned.

I wish this post were a fave top 20 thread. Geez...
