I don't get the rivalry that exists between a lot of local bands. If another local band does well, it helps the music scene as a whole and thus helps you. Whenever I see band drama or band feuds it cracks me up. Grow up and play some rock n roll

Something I saw last Saturday: two guitarists from a following band walked to the front of the stage and blankly stared at my guitarist's hands, as if to analyze his fingering, then leaving without giving a sign or saying anything.
Is this common behavior? It smelled of contempt, badly.
After reading through all the dress code posts here I just have to throw this in from another post.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_X7mMU6Gb0
Nothing I have seen here compares.
This cracked me up pretty good.
It's like I got Rickshaw rolled![]()
Haven't seen/heard it lately, but one that used to get me was the guys with the fake English accents yapping in the mic between songs.

theres a local band like that who i played a gig with
there guitar player spent 2 hours fixing his hair and then called over too me and said can you tune my guitars (of which he had 4) so i said "why cant you do it" to wich his reply was
i have to fix my mascara
Hahaha. Hilarious. I'm laughing because this is what my old singer does. He now sings/plays in an Irish folk band, and tries to talk with an Irish accent between songs. So lame.![]()

Sorry to break the news to you, but just because your band goes on last doesn't mean they are the headliner. It just means you're the last band.
Stop the show? Seeing some kid getting the crap kicked out of him is the only reason I'm there at all.and please if you play rougher music and see a kid on the floor getting trampled or something similar feel free to stop the music to ensure the safety of your audience member. if theyre thrashing to you theyre feeling you and will typically listen if you send out and SOS for a man down.
Wow, it must be fun hating yourself that much.Overly and sarcastically compliment you on your set "Because that cover was perfect" or "your solo was fantastic". Honestly... if you're serious, then you're suck-up d-bags and if you're sarcastic, you're just d-bags.
Also I hate band that want to jam with you before playing. I've had one too many bands ask to do that and it gets annoying.
