Top quality Phaser?

Ive always enjoyed the Red Witch deluxe Moon phaser. Not strictly a phaser but a very cool pedal anyone who likes phasers should check out. A bit pricey though.

Anyone here have a chance to try out the new EBS Dphaser? I cant get the link to work, just brings you to the home page.

The clips on their site are very intriguing, and EBS has never let me down in the past.

Gotta recommend the Maxon Ph350. Selecting between 4,6,10 stages has helped me find the phase tones I prefer most. With tweakable depth and feedback it can be made as subtle or intense as you desire. And it NEVER distorts.

Mine has spent most of its life set to 4 stage, the 'classic' phaser sound. So I went ahead and purchased a PT999 (thanks RCCollins :)) so I have a four stager in a smaller package.

Ten stage with a high negative feedback is alotta fun too. Puts out a eerie horror movie soundtrack effect for when a slow walking man in a black overcoat has snuck up behind you with a shiny plastic prop knife

Hey there, I know lots of phasers are based on the phase 90 but which are based on the small stone but have depth knobs? I dig the stone tone but I'd like some added versatility.

There are some that "borrow" from the Small Stone, but in terms of commercially available phasers that truly use the same circuit with added versatility you're really only looking at the Blackout Effectors Whetstone.

I was on a personal "phaser" quest for a long time, and have been through a whole bunch of them..I purchase a used Maxon PT-999 from RCCollins a couple of years ago (at least I think thats who I bought it from...Maybe it was Valerus...???)...anyways, that's the one I've landed on for now...it's a great Phase 90 clone that is perfect for what I need (mild subtle phasing w/no noticable tone suck or noise). It's fits nicely on my PT Mini as well.

I also really like the Mad Professor Tiny Orange Phaser...but it's too much $$$...

My EHX Nano Small Stone is a constant presence on my board. It's not on all the time, of course (none of my effects are) but I really like what it does. I often use it with my envelope filter to add extra layers on the filtered tone, and the fact that I got it cheap here on TB makes it even better. :D

Mxr Phase 90 brick logo user here. Nice warm lush tone always noticeable in the mix. What really sold me was the rubber hat on the knob that you can twist the knob with your foot. Very usable to me because I can do crazy stuff with it on the fly.

Vermona PH16 it is for me a top phaser, it's gone 16 stage deep. It is a cool mf, almost no character. Clean sound. I hated the moog because it has to much character.

For a regulair phase i use a roland AP2. I love the simple AP2.
Those are the 3 that I know.

Are there more clean sounding (no character) phasers with a lot of stages?

EBS is a f-d-beast that rules the game with that 5 phasers +
