Please move this if this is the wrong place.

But based on a discussion on a noter thread we need a tort less bass support group.

This is for members who never have owned a bass with tort.
Or who do not currently own one.

@micguy posted:
We should start a support group - when the tort mob comes with pitchforks (and they will come), it'll be good to have some company.

So here it is.

And if you want numbers--we can do that as well.

I'll be number 1, although part of me would like to be Number 6.
(But that would be telling)

Ohhh
Only bursts I have are the Sting with its single-layer white guard, and the custom made fretless with no guard.

My P has a white guard (came that way in '83 a shell on LPB is awful anyway) and my Strat has a "mint green" one. All the other basses have no guard, and the acoustic guitars have plain black.

Thing is, I have no animosity towards either burst or tort. It's just that the instruments that said "Hi, honey, I'm home!!!" when I first played them don't have that combination. And I don't tend to make purely cosmetic changes to instruments. Only cosmetic driven change was putting mint green knobs and switch tip on the Strat because the white factory ones looked way out of place on the fact pick guard.
