Good Year just recently replaced their old blimps with a newer design. Anyway, just looked out the window and saw this guy cruising by my house. If you look really close at the end of the tail, you can see counter rotating props on the third engine shaft. This is part of the new design.
Thought it made a pretty picture with the clouds and all.

The other day I got myself a chef's knife.

My good wife nearly had a heart atttack, and phoned me at work to exchange some frank views on my supposed sense of humour...

Found this very pretty weed in my yard. It struck me because I've never run across one in all my travels throughout the wilds of Southern California. Then a friend identified it as a marigold and I realized it was the feral offspring of marigolds that I had years ago. Nature is neato!

It’s wonderful to be surrounded by kindred spirits.
Must be nice watching baseball in a small venue like this. I am more use to 55,000 seat stadiums like Dodger Stadium here in L.A.
The last baseball game I attended (only one before that was 20 years previously) was The Staten Island Yankees.

Afraid it doesn't look good for the eagle eggs, Mom's been mia since Saturday when a new, larger female tried to take over the nest. Dad tried to do it all the incubating himself for several days and finally gave up yesterday.
Damn. I’ll be honest I didn’t notice there were other characters at play besides the original momma. They need to give them T-shirts with numbers or something.
oh yea, she's still around all the time, flirting with the dad, trying to get him to take up with her... it's like a soap opera!
