We keep a rather varied tea selection on hand here regularly at Moonrise Manor, and my favorite bakery is just a half mile away drool
This past Friday nite i accompanied my lady friend to her K-8 school's annual student art auction fundraiser, where she's a secretary to the Principal.
Every year the Principal & the Vice-P compete in a short 5 minute skit trying to outdo each other while auctioning off each of their own personalized drinks.
She was kinda in charge of putting his together, and they were still thinking up ideas right up until the day before. Ultimately, they went with a James Bond theme to push a vodka recipe drink he had come up with, and she roped me into participating in it as a bombshell Russian spy whom the 007 Principal fell for.
(Thankfully) it was an adults only booze soaked affair, and overall they/we helped raise over $100k for their school!
She borrowed the authentic Russian uniforms from her dad (who's a colorful collector of all kinds of historic military and other memorabilia.)
Here's some scenes from backstage, and in front while the Vice-P was doing her Indiana Jones themed thing. It was fun, and I got a free dinner and drinks *hiccup*

Maybe the coolest part...you and I are standing outside this recreation of a bus, and we watch a movie...through the windows... of the ‘incident’.

I was in Seattle on Friday and Saturday morning. My SIL lives in Fremont.
I kind of made it up as I went along...
Leftover mashed potato.
Finely chopped onion.
1 egg.
Salt.
Rosemary.
Butter.
Regular flour.
Buttermilk...or milk...or water ( I can't remember which, but I've done them with all of those)
Mix all that up in a bowl until you get it solid enough to form balls.
Roll the balls in a tiny bit more flour and flatten them out.
I use a large heavy-duty* frying pan, with rapeseed oil.
Get it hot, then put in the cakes, turning once the first side has got some golden colour on.
Flip them again after a minute or two, and then once more with feeling a minute later.
Serve with a dash of salt and an unhealthy amount of butter melting over them.
* I only just realised what I did there...Heavy Duty...get it?
