Great bride...Known around town as ‘Tom’s little black truck’.
When we sold our house in Hawkinsville, we took some of that money, and traded my old truck, and bought it for cash.

When it came time for us to part, I contributed it to Georgia Public Radio.

A pair of doves found their way into my house and are checking out my computer screen.
Nope. This pair of doves have been hanging around my yard for several years now and are quite use to me and my wife.
Mourning doves are so fun to have around and watch having and raising little ones. They are very human tolerant, tend to nest in the same place repeatedly, keep a clean nest area, and take turns caring for the eggs and little ones.

The flower is on the rock cactus Aerocarpus Fissuratus which is rare in the wild, This picture was taken in Big Bend around 2016. I didn't find another one for 5 years. When its not blooming ( a three day event), it looks like a rock in the desert. So have to be there at blooming season to have any chance of locating them. In 2020, I mapped three large populations that were not cultivated.
They are blooming right now.
