OK, I know I'm working a theme to death but humor me.
Top photo taken today. This is our little river at normal, non-drought winter level.
The below pic was during the massive storms of first week of Jan. There's about a 10 foot difference in the water level, and with the corresponding increase in width, it's pretty mind-boggling (at least for me and my easily boggled mind) to think about how much freaking water was flowing through at that point.

Our home is fine. Thanks for asking.
A number of the roads, including main roads up here, were badly damaged. They now have at least one lane open while they do repairs, which may take a few months. But it's all moving forward.

2 dry coats in sun. Then brought it in to cool the metal. Then a final wet coat. We'll see if it works. (Not gloss. Flat black primer)

Thanks, for some reason this particular owl is not afraid of people. A buddy at my camp sat and talked to it a few weeks back too. I walked right under it before turning and seeing it.
