Funny how people look at the same thing,but see it differently....I focused on the profile of the guy with mustache...Mark Twain,maybe?...David Crosby?

Haven't posted any in a while, but here are a couple scenic shots I captured at a very rainy wedding gig a couple weeks ago.
It quit raining just long enough to get these two hitched... then that dress got ruint. (it's a real word here in Virginia, trust me...) The groom is actually our fiddle player, his new bride thankfully, is quite comfortable with the music scene having been around us for the past three years. We played for the ceremony too, which was quite an honor. (if a little squishy)

The Eli Paxton House, in Buena Vista, Virginia... it's been under restoration for years, now basically done. It's really something to see if you're at all interested in early American architecture.
I was there yesterday for the 25th Annual Maury River Fiddler's Convention, where me, and my buddies Teddy Mac, and Unca D made a clean sweep last night at the awards presentation.
Though all three of us can play bass, Unca D is actually the principal bassist with the Richmond Philharmonic. Ironically, none of us even played in the bass competition. We took blue ribbons for guitar(Ted), mandolin(Me), and dulcimer(Damian).
Perhaps in defiance.

They are having Sunday Funday down at the Marina all summer. Today, the clouds, palm trees, sun and beer in hand was just right. These guys were playing classic rock covers with backing tracks. Small stage only allows two to three people and it maybe only 10 feet from the water so it is quite tight there.
