My wife feeds a few raccoons and skunks that live in the canyon just adjacent to our house. I have posted some photos here before. One of the raccoons, which my wife has been calling Mr. Gray for the past few years, showed up this evening with three babies.
Perhaps Mr. Gray is actually a Mrs. Gray?

Determination.....

My oldest.... 9 in June....is fiercely competitive. Some guy made the mistake of telling her he didn't think her upper body strength was enough to get her up the wall.

 He don't know my baby. Sheer will would get her up the wall if her arms wouldn't. I never said a word to the man. I only grinned and chuckled a little... maybe shook my head.

She climbed it three times..... in flip flops.

D'as my girl. ;)

When she got back to the ground, she said to me something like "Daddy, I don't need some long, drawn out speech about how proud you are of me and how girls can do anything. I got this".

I love that girl. :smug:

Same here.
Our garden is deliberately very butterfly/bee friendly, we've followed the best advice and for years it worked.
The last couple of years though we've rarely seen any visitors at all.
Also at Oddly:

Yeah i was surprised I managed to catch it mid flight. It did land but this was neat to have it fully outstretched and actually see the blue and the red dots on the tail. I don’t know what these purple wildflowers are that seem to attract them but when these things are in bloom they’re everywhere.
