Is that a FranklinMint model? The real one looks like they tried to copy the paint of the scale model, unless it's a famous one. I didn't ask.

Danbury Mint, and is of the Prototype. A bit of a description in this link.

Look like there are five Tuckers in Pennsylvania.
Two are Maroon as the model, one of those two is The Prototype.
One was Maroon but repainted Bronze.
One Gray(silver) and one Waltze Blue.

Random pics from Lake Superior, on vacation last week.

First, a solo kayak trip I took from the family cabin to Bayview Beach.

One of the cool places along the bluffs where you can see how they used to "harvest" the sandstone to make brownstone buildings. That's why the edges are so straight. You can't get a photo of it but in the water you can still see remnants of the old docks where the ships would tie up to load.

The 180 ft Coast Guard cutter Sundew at the Bayfield city marina. If you saw our video in the gigs section for our group Hijinx, that performance was in the gazebo in the bottom left of the photo. Love this city!

I was on the north shore of Lake Superior a couple of days after your pics. not nearly as nice a view - the entire shore was socked in by fog for miles and miles... Out in the distance of this shot should be a nice blue lake...but no! Batchawana Bay, Ontario.

I was on the north shore of Lake Superior a couple of days after your pics. not nearly as nice a view - the entire shore was socked in by fog for miles and miles... Out in the distance of this shot should be a nice blue lake...but no! Batchawana Bay, Ontario.

I also heard that besides the normal fog that occurs on the lake, there was a lot of "haze" from Canadian wildfires someplace? Sucks for you on vacation though, I've never been to the north shore.

I also heard that besides the normal fog that occurs on the lake, there was a lot of "haze" from Canadian wildfires someplace? Sucks for you on vacation though, I've never been to the north shore.

Yep - there was a pretty big forest fire way to the south east of where that photo was taken, but I don't think that had anything to do with the fog - definitely coming from the lake! Was about 300 miles north by the end of the day and it was socked in there too.

Here in the Idaho panhandle/Eastern Washington, we got socked in with smoke from our own fires, the fires in BC, and everything coming up from California and Oregon. It got so bad on August 20 that the air quality was considered "Hazardous" in Spokane and the surrounding area, and my employer told everyone to stay home for the day.

Here's a pic from Canfield Mountain that I took on August 25. You can see Lake Coeur D'Alene on the left, but it's tough to see due to the smoke.

I thought that some of the metaphysical imagery was really particularly effective.
Oh ... and er ... interesting rhythmic devices too which seemed to counterpoint the ... er ... er ... surrealism of the underlying metaphor of the ... er ...Gornisity of the photographer's compassionate soul,which contrives through the medium of the image's structure to sublimate this, transcend that, and come to terms with the fundamental dichotomies of the other, and one is left with a profound and vivid insight into ... into ... er ..."
into whatever it was the photograph was about.
