Traben Club, Level 2.

Hi all, new man on the block - have had a black Phoenix 4 for longer than I can remember, not my main bass but I do love it. However it needs some attention now on the electrics as the tone has basically disappeared. I can't find any serial number so I'm assuming I have either a US model or a very very old one? Would like to identify what the onboard electrics are so I can think about replacements/upgrades.

Any advice would be most welcome! Thanks

Is this company still in business?

I heard that the original designer was doing custom basses...

Not sure where I heard that though....

Tracy and Ben (Traben) sold the company off to Hanser the same company that owns B.C. Rich, Michael Kelly and Kustom amps years ago. Hanser picked up and moved production to Vietnam and everything went downhill for there on out...they are now defeunct as we knew them...

sadly the lack of a serial number really means nothing...for a while they were not actually putting serial numbers on anything they made according to Todd Rockfield...they were playing it fast and loose for a while

I see..... What about the rumor of the designer doing boutique instruments?

Nicked a Array Limited 5'er at Thomann in Europe - the last one in stock - with red spalted Maple - a hardpuncher - slammed in some Delano PU's and a Delano preamp - really hot a nice Sound now - still with character but more definded - a nice investment :hyper:

Oh I think I remember watching this one, on Reverb or something. Almost got it myself. The previous owner put a totally different bridge on it. All I can think of is scan eBay. I've seen one pop up now and then, but search for "tribal bass bridge" because it might not be listed under Traben.
