well my carvin has a perfect neck but the traben's neck is pretty close. my core's tone is about 2 times more flexible, but i cant get the the same warmth out of it like i do with my carvin. the core isnt as heavy as my carvin. the traben has more sustain but my carvin has one of the old carvin sustain bridges, so they wind up being close. I'm going to use my carvin for praise band and the singing variety show thingy i have to play bass for next month. and my traben will be for the band and all the other occasions which i need to rock out on

Cool bro. I have never played a Carvin but I would like to try one out because of what you have to say about the necks. Thats one of the reasons I love my Trabens. Here is another question for ya. Does your neck on your chaos have any kind of finish coat on it?

My Array does have one but I think they sand them a bit after the coat. But, my Chaos OB has not a lick of finish on the whole bass and the neck is like ice. Just wondering on that as I haven't played a regular Chaos yet either.
