For sure dude, for sure. This thing is too beautiful to be kept a pleasure for my eyes only![]()
Excellent, man. I played a Chaos Core 5 that had the Black Vapor finish and maple fretboard. Seriously nice instrument.
Congrats!

So what are the differences between a normal Chaos and the Core?
I'm debating on what my next Traben purchase should be...
I've said it before in previous posts that I have a Traben Array Obsession due to the fact my Traben Chaos Obsession was stolen and I found an amazing deal on the Array Obsession at a local shop. ($400) But I still miss the bigger body of the Chaos so I'm debating on what my actions should be. I like things about the Array Obsession, the neck and electronics, but the body feels small and narrow and I prefer the Chaos Bridge. I've put the Array Obsession up for sale both on ebay and craigslist but have not received any interest of any one wanting to buy it. I was thinking of selling it and buying another Chaos Obsession or Chaos Chaos Core, but I haven't been successful.
I recently emailed Rock Clouser at Traben and asked if there were possibly going to be some new models other than the Obsession that a Chaos Model would have a neck thru, and if there will be any single humbucker basses (my preference). His response was "It is a definite maybe. More likely yes than no."
So should I switch my Array out now or just be patient and wait for the new models to be released? I know it's ridiculous, but I'm stressing out over what decision I should make haha... Maybe there are some other Traben owners who have had more experience with differing models who may have advise on what I should do.
Keep yours, get a Chaos Core instead of a new one, there freakin great
Yeah, I'll just have to convince my fiancé to let me spend some extra cash (I'm currently putting money away for our wedding). Haha. Yeah I would definiely prefer to keep the Array and get the Core. I love the Black Burl with a maple fret board, pretty sweet looking. I'll just have to get over the fact it's a bolt on. The closest thing I could find to the Core was a standard Chaos and still was a killer bass. If the Core really that much better like everyone says, I don't see why not to go for it.

Anyone got experience of the John Moyer Signature model. Spare of the moment, I ordered one from GAK today as the price was right! I played the basic array 5 in Darlington at the beginning of the week and was pretty impressed. It's to replace my Tobias Toby pro 5 string which has been depressing me with the lack of depth from the electronics and particularly the B string, doesn't help that the 4 stringers I have are a '95 US Jazz and a Warwick Streamer Stage 1 which is the sweetest thing ever!
Any comments about the Traben are welcome as I await GAK getting it in stock, but at £425 is seems like a steal

Look back a page or two and you'll see pics of my Traben Moyer sig. Great bass for the cash. Rockfield pups and pre. And the tone is phenomenal.
Is yours the one with the aguilar pre-amp in it? how does it play and what is the tonal range like?
