traben: neo vs. obsession

well here is my problem. Im in need of a 5 string bass and I have limited it to two choices: a neo limited with a spalt maple top or the new chaos obsession model which you can find on ebay.

neo
pros- looks better, weighs less, i have played it and loved it.

cons- not the best pick-ups and pre-amp

chaos obsession

pros- rockfields, agular pre-amp, active/ passive switch

cons- neck thru ( I have a personal grudge against those), price,

so which one should i buy? please post your opinions and if you like the chaos obsession is it the maple or the ebony top?

the reason why i have a grudge against neck thru basses is that my first bass was carvin with a neck thru and some one busted it and i couldnt replace the neck so now its unplayable but i still have it for sentamental reasons

Unfortunately it seems that Trabens are discriminated against quite a lot here on TB. The only way to really know which one you're going to like is to play them. I personally would go with the Chaos because of the Aguilar preamp. But you could always change out the preamp on the Neo.
