Trace Elliot Question

I use a T.E. GP7SM 2x10 200w combo that I am VERY happy with. Great tone, punch, and the sound guy even likes it. I have an outdoor gig coming up, and there is a T.E. 1x15 ext. cab for sale in my area. Im thinking I can get a little more volume and bass for a great deal. Anybody have experience with this setup? The cab is 8 ohm which should get me to 4 ohms total, so my combo should be running at max efficiency?(its rated 200w @ 4 ohm load) Just lookin for a little feedback before I lay down the cash. I should mention my rig consists of a P-Bass, T.E. pedal/compressor, and the combo amp. Thanks!

Yeah man - Just saw a friend of mine play their first gig in a few years with that -only he had 4x10-- great sounding rig- they were at an outside biker bar poker run . had a little help from the p.a - i love that setup - i am working myself in that direction - have the 2x10 so far -head is next- then a 15...

I recently purchased a T.E. 1210 combo (has 2x10's). Like you, I really like the tone and punch I get out of it. But I wanted more bottom end so I picked up a 1518c extension cab. I spent some time playing and comparing with/without the extension cab while I was at the store, before I made my decision. The 15" speaker cab makes a big difference, you will not be disappointed. And yes, you will be running at 4 ohms with the extension cab connected.
