Transformers 2

seriously, this movie was not great. yeah stuff got blowed up real good, but there were some pretty major plot holes. not even plot holes so much as something would happen and i would think to myself, "why did they just do that?" and there wasn't an answer. ever. there wasn't even an explanation of how jazz is suddenly not dead from the last movie. even the cgi in the last climactic battle was looking very cartoony and undetailed.

still, stuff got blowed up real good

Not a single one of my friends agreed with me when I said that...Nice to see someone on the same page.

I agree with that too. It got to the point where whenever he'd do that voice, I'd start to cringe.

I have to AMC Movie Passes. I'm planning on seeing Transformers 2 either Friday or Saturday early in the day. I liked the first one. So I'm hoping the second at least doesn't suck. I can be amused by explosions for 90mins or so though.

Well for what I saw it was pretty good. Lots and lots of action, a little to much to take in though. Now the reason I say 'for what I saw', is because right at the climax of the film, right when Optimus tackles the Fallen, the film melted! Seriously! The film actually melted! This happened tuesday night and I still can't believe it actually happened. It was one of those things so horrible that all you can do is laugh at it.
So all in all it was a fun and interesting night.

Firstly, Toe thumb or no toe thumb, she is fine.

I really liked the film. There were a few bits that weren't so great, the leg humping transformer . . . :scowl:

There were also a few other bits, like the almost slap-stick comedy, but some of it worked. The bit where the guy is under Devestator and he has two big wrecking balls crashing together between it's hind legs was pretty funny, tho why he was made of 7 robots, I dont know, they decided to add another one.

The concept of humans fighting decepticons was also pretty funny, cannon fodder more than anything.

Soundwave was also in it :D [/geek]

I liked it. Any parents looking at this thread, though, be warned; take that PG-13 rating seriously...there's a lot of stuff in there I wouldn't want to explain to my 7 year old, like pot brownies, explicit makeout scenes, etc.

It WAS a good movie, especially for lovers of giant robot fights, though.

And Optimus didn't fight with his fists; he fought with glowing swords. Lots of the transformers shot the crap out of each other. And then they hit each other with fists. It was chock full of awesome.
