Transformers 2

Is she using a brush on an airbrushed design in that pic ? Isn't that painfully ******** ?

Haven't seen it, but the mentions of robot humping, somewhat racist robots and general stupidity (wrecking balls as balls, really ?) doesn't make it too hot for me. The fact that it's three hours long doesn't help either. Not that I have a short attention span, but three hours of robots duking it out ?

PS: Am I the only one to think that the Dark Knight wasn't all THAT good ? It's a good movie, but enough so that it becomes the benchmark from wich all other movies are judged ?

Re: "Dark Knight": I had heard a review beforehand that compared it to "Heat" or "Internal Affairs" and had high expectations. I was unimpressed. I mean it was a good action film, but that is all it is. I am at a loss as to how that movie is in the Top 10 Movies on IMDB.

As for "Transformers", I watched the half hour commercial...um ... I mean...TV show when I was a kid, but have not seen either of these remakes. Its mindless explosions and loud noises meant to entertain teenagers with disposable income.

If you want to see action films with intelligence, try Scorcesse's "The Departed" or Kurosawa's "The Seven Samurai".

This movie was horrid.

Compared to the first one, this one was a waste of time. The dialogue was laughable, the comedy was forced, the story was crap. About the only thing worth the time was the massive scale of the battles.

:D Exactly. And Megan Fox.

Im gonna go see it again tomorrow. Even WoW can't keep me away.

Gonna go see the new Jonny Depp/Gangster awesomeness on wednesday tho.

Saw it yesterday. Oh man... Terrible, idiotic movie. Wholes in the plot, childish characters, fight scenes too long... I wanted to leave after 1 hour. Not to mention the chihuahua decepticon. A deception...

I made the mistake of chugging my 32 oz sweet tea right before, so I had to go pee about 4 times.

But I agree with whoever said that the college chick was hotter. And yeah, little bit disappointed when she transformed :(

I saw it Saturday. It was the dumbest single movie I have ever seen. It seemed to be totally aimed at boys from 12-16 since it was full of Maxim style titillation and weak suggestive jokes and scenes. It had no plot, and even the animation got tiresome.:spit:

Just saw it with my girlfriend (was actually her suggestion). Two hours of big robots that transform into cars beating the crap out of each other. What more could a proud nerd like myself ask for?

Really, I wasn't expecting it to be some great philosophical deep movie. Not every movie has to be. It was a good afternoon of nerdy robots-fighting fun. I mean really, the movie is about giant robots from outer space. It's based on a cartoon that in turn was based on a toy line from the 80's. It's not meant to be taken that seriously, really.

I agree with the Cheese.

I will also add that someone needs to tell Michael Bay that each time an action shot starts, it is not a requirement of directing to start panning the camera around in a circle. Overal it was mildy enjoyable to stare at, but in all other respects, a giant steaming pile of number twos. The only amusing bit was when the American mom spat out the escargot and only then because I was watching the film in Paris and the whole audience laughed.

Saw it with the family yesterday. I thought it was good but they could have done without so many silly lines and one liners! The 2 'urban' robots were not needed and I was offended! Even the little 'Joe Pesci' robot I thought was stupid. The leg humping? Come on!! I did like the 'old timer'! And yeah. Megan Fox is hot as hell! I love the fact that she isn't one of those skinny, anorexic looking model chicks! She actually has some junk in her trunk! Now I thought the robot/girl was ugly! If they were smart they would have made her look like Megan's character to further confuse Sam! But I get it.......it's a movie and it's meant to simply entertain! Now here's one thing I didn't like....................

Why did they use Star Wars like references with The Fallen calling Megatron his 'young apprentice'(or something to that effect)??? Blatant ripoff right there! And couldn't Devestator have been a bit more defined instead of looking like a huge pile of junk?? In fact all the Transformers could have been a little more defined in appearance. They all looked like walking junkyards, IMO! But still, I was entertained. My wife loved it!

Damnit...just saw this last night. I enjoyed the first Transformers. This one...not so much.

Is Megan Fox hot? Yes, but I don't have to pay $8.50 to see that. So nix that as a plus for the film.

Are big fighting robots cool? Yes, but if they're characters, make them relevant in the story or it'll get old quick in a movie that is over two hours long. The 'bots had few lines and most were just fodder.

I feel that this film did little more than pander to it's audience...an audience that they must have considered to be idiots.

I kept being told that this film was more for an adult market.

I was lied to.

Let me clarify that.

I don't consider cursing and shots of Megan Fox to be a film for adults. It makes it a film for teenage boys who still think curse words are the coolest thing ever.

I wanted to like this movie and it could have been fun...but everyone can't be comic relief and you can't just throw in 'touching' moments without making me care about them.

I tend not to be overly critical of movies...but I was disappointed in this film. That's all.
