The pics are right out of the box. Here is the link to my project tread of what I am doing to it :D

It should be tricked out enough to get a # when finished... :bassist:

See my un-equal twins: They both used to be Squier Standard 5 String Precision Basses (as one is show on the “pre-mod” picture). But with two J-pickups?
Please!
So, taking the “saw” and out comes:
• a fancy 5 String P-bass with P-pickup (Wilkinson asymmetric WBP5, plus WBJ5W in a “4 string” cover, plus Artec EXP circuit, plus 4 Schaller BML “long-neck” tuner and 1 “short-neck”, plus brass nut, plus ABM “mono-rail” bridges, plus HipShot string retainer, string-through ferrules and doom knobs)
• and an even fancier 6 String P-Bass with P-pickup (Artec P-Bass,plus the original Squier 5 string J, which is planned to be replaced (as shall be the Pickguard, but I didn’t get the right tortoise scratch plate), plus HipShot HB6C tuner and all the other stuff as above)
Looking forward for your comments!

Cool and very well done!!!! I have a stock Sunburst P Special 5 and just purchased a Wilkinson 5-string P pup and some D'Addario flats. Gotta round up some tortoise pickguard material to make a pickguard. Not being as adventurous as you I plan to leave the bridge, tuners and string retainers alone.

I'm playing a gig on Friday, but after that my Squier VM Jazz is off to the workshop. It's a natural one with the bound and block neck. The laquer is coming off and being replaced with a 3-tone burst, maybe add some age to it as well. Gonna stick a bridge cover on it too and a tort pick guard. I want to replaced the tuners as well cause they're really stiff. Not touching the pick-ups though, the Duncan's sound brilliant in it. The only other thing is as it's done out of my hands my uncle is adamant at putting the fender logo on the headstock, some people ey.

Agreed on the P'ups! and your other choices sound super! The logo already says Fender. You're right! Tell uncle that. Then show him that the Fender website proudly has all the Squiers right there amongst all the other Fenders. Our Asian friends are giving our Mexican friends a run for their money.

THANX!!! Have you posted your 5er anywhere? Looking forward to see some "brothers and sisters".
