yes, Ricks are better than Squiers........just not for a 14 yr old working odd jobs and saving sheckels for one. if a 14 yr old kid can save the cash to buy a rick, he should be putting no less than half of it in the bank and learning money skills early. I'm not saying dont buy a nice bass, but a 1500 to 2000 bass? eeesh!

Ricks are quite a bit better than a squier, but not so much better that the lad should develop habits that will have him feasting on Top Ramen noodles the rest of his life (or at least college) because he sux with money.....nes pas? ;)
